Comments Thread For: Khan Will Not Wait For Peterson, Career Moving Forward

Richard Schaefer, CEO for Golden Boy Promotions, has advised BoxingScene.com that Amir Khan will not wait around for Lamont Peterson, and he plans to move his career forward. Last month, Peterson captured the WBA/IBF junior welterweight titles from Khan with a controversial twelve round split decision in Washington, DC. The WBA ordered an immediate rematch. Peterson and his team have appealed the organization's ruling.

Just move on. You'll see Peterson again once he loses to Marquez or Pacquiao.

Lamont should rematch Khan, he didn't really beat him, even with the BS deductions. How did Lamont win more than 3-4 rounds in that fight??? And this is coming from someone who's not even a fan of Khan.

I had that fight 114-111 for Khan, even with the BS deductions. And without the BS deductions, Khan would have been the UD winner.

And I don't buy the "what goes around, comes around" thing with Khan. He beat Maidana fair and square, not by some BS point deductions for "pushing". This is boxing for christ sake.

I actually hope Peterson gets the Marquez fight, so Juan can school him.

I must say as well, I am not a fan of Khan-Mosley. It sounds just like "Let's put Amir in with someone he'll look great against, a completely past his prime Mosley. He'll whoop him, build a bigger name because a lot of casual american fans know who Mosley is". It's a crap fight.

Fight someone like Selcuk Aydin, Jan Zaveck, Senchenko, or Brook.

Not really considering Maidana had absolutely no chase whatsoever for winning that fight.

If it was the other way around and Khan got a controversial decision he would be doing the same exact thing.

Does anyone really think Khan in this situation would give Peterson a rematch when he had Marquez and Pacquiao fights potentially on the table?

let's see whether this gamble pays for peterson, beat Marquez then hope Pacquiao isn't locked in for Mayweather.

Naw, look at my sig. I have always thought Bradley beats Khan, and I have been on here a ton of times telling everyone that Bradley's career resume was better than Khan.

The knockdown wasn't, but even then......how did Lamont win more than 3-4 rounds?????

Khan should move on and fight someone else.
Peterson will lose his next fight anyway if it's against Marquez.
