I'm no fan of DeGale....but.....if he signs with someone else, perhaps now we shall see James fighting some good fighters and see how good he really is.

He's been fighting great competition for the amount of experience he has.

I think it's more likely that DeGale went from being about to get a World title shot (vs Sartisson) to being pushed into a British title fight vs Groves. Then when he lost a debatable decision, Warren signed Groves and moved away from the idea of a second fight.

I could be wrong, but it seems like he was told that he'd get a world title fight and then he didn't, then was told he'd get a Groves rematch, which he didn't. Not getting the rematch might have been acceptable if not for that fact that Warren went from calling the fight a robbery and criticising Groves to signing him to a contract and saying the fight would happen at some unspecified point in the future.

I personally didn't think that either fight was good for him straight away, but if Warren did go back on his word twice then JDG has pretty good reason for wanting out of their deal.

It's probably not worth trying to explain the basics elements of logic to this guy, after all, he's not the sharpest tool in the box!

He never forgave Warren for signing Groves after the loss.

right ive seen the story that degales announced hes leaving warren, now this response from warrens side.so what happens now? in football contracts dont seem to mean nothing,if someones head is turned by more money from a rival they just refuse to play and in the end get their way.tim bradley was the last boxer i can remember letting his contract run down to go elsewhere but degale aint gonna not fight for 2-3 years is he. i'm sure i can remember degale saying that he'd never leave warren like khan and that frank is proven in getting his fighters title fights??? also where could he go,hearn is his only realistic option in england unles he goes top rank or gbp.what do you think????
