Isn't it funny everytime a prospect who was higherly regarded before gets knocked down, everyone jumps on his back and says "Oh his ****, I knew it before anyway."
Its better he faces some adversity early in his career than say when he is fighing for a title AKA Kermit Cintron style.
I haven't seen the fight...but there haven't been that many people slating him to be the next Roy Jones or whatever. He's still young, he's still learning. From what I've seen, he's a great talent but it looks like his chin is not all that great.
Still, I like the way he carries out his business, highly professional and seems mature for his age. It's too early to say really but I'm hoping he can make it to that championship level.
I said from DAY ONE that Andre (and his long time trainer) was overhyping HIMSELF (Claiming he would go down as the greatest fighter who ever lived. The amaterurs, especially NOW with the computer scoring, mean NOTHING in predicting pro success. They are matching Andre up very carefully and not like a guy who they think is a future superstar. He started doing the same old played out trash talking before a couple of his recent fights and that, to me, is a turn off. The last thing we need is another kid who talks trash, especially one who at the same time tries to present himself as a religious type of person. He ran his mouth off before fights against limited opposition and now he is learning early on in his pro career that fans in the pro game arent as sympathetic as they are when you are an amateur kid. You got dropped twice and now you are going to hear more insults and berating from fans than you did in your whole amateur career combined. Welcome to the pros, Andre!!
Ward got hurt badly in like his 3rd or 4th fight I remember. I believe it was showcased on Best Damn Sports Show. Luckily the guy he was fighting was a total moron and didn't know how to finish him cause Ward was in another world.

Man....
Andre Ward never trash talked anybody...
Your talking out of your ass...
You said Lacy doesn't have power.....
Also, you talk like you know everything and that you are always right...
Apparently, all your talk is full of BIASED talk..
In his second fight he fought a guy that was 7-0..
and after that you said he needs to step up his game..
Andre Ward is the truth..
This is just a experience...

Well Andre Ward is suspect now...will he go out like Bojado? I hope not. But who are the other Olympians that they showed on Fox Sports that one day? Are they any better?
