Rios is a sore looser and nobody to say Cotto is done, less when he is so bias cuz he wants to defend the undefendable, Cotto beat fair and square his girlfriend Margarito.

By the way, he must be on crack. On his quote he said Margarito was getting to Cotto on the 10th. The 10th round never happen! It was stopped before it even started. That is how ****** Rios is!

I know Rios didn't say anything about Cotto-Floyd, but that is the fight that is more likely to happen than Manny-Cotto. And I don't wanna see it. Just like I don't want to see a Pacquiao-Cotto rematch. I agree with Rios when he says Cotto is done (at least where being elite is concerned).
To be fair to Cotto's determination, he got a massive cut early in Clottey's fight. Still, he was able to perform well even when the blood was coming into his eyes. I agree the figth was close, but Clottey just lost the opportunity to close strong and get the decision. The same happen to JMM with Pacquiao III. He did not do enough in the last 2 rounds and that is why he did not got the decision or a tied. Clottey and JJM fault!

Cotto's gonna keep coming. His jab will be super effective, hopefully he puts in work to the body, and is smart about it (but not too smart, he just needs to outwill mayweather). Hopefully when he has mayweather against the ropes(which will happen), he doesnt get caught up in the moment and throw at his head, and instead goes for the body. It would take a damn near perfect fight, but cotto can win. It would be mayweathers most dangerous/credible opponent he has faced. Yes, better than ortiz, hatton, etc.
First good analysis I read here about skills and chances. With the right corner man and right plan Cotto can look competitive or win with Mayweather and Pacquiao. People disregard the facts about his 2 losses. 1 to loaded gloves and 2 to one of the best p4p when he had no trainer and the only plan was to win by force not by boxing. He learned his lesson and will probably not try to win Pacquiao on exchanges, but outsmart him with good boxing.

With Mayweather, he needs to be aggressive to corner him, use the jab, and get his signature punch to the body to make Mayweather cover more his ribs and go with the left hook to his chin after.

This kid talks a world of sheit. Never shuts the fucck up. He is still butt hurt that his girl Margie got his ass handed to him. The audacity of this loud mouth clown who imo will have a shorten career with his face first defense. Oh well, too bad Cotto goes on a shot done fighter in line to make a big payday while rios' lover is where…oh i forgot, who cares...

Rios Has A Lot To Say; Have Rios Step Up & Fight A "Washed Up Cotto"!

Rios should have no problem stepping up in weight fighting a washed up Cotto then, should he? I don't like these guys that have a lot to say (Mayweather also comes to mind), but won't take the leap and fight the guy they are throwing down. Rios trashed Ortiz, yet wouldn't sign to fight him. Rios has trashed Maidana, but I don't see him fighting him. Lets see if Rios can beat a washed up, 40 year old Shane Mosley... LOL. Mosley would destroy him, as would Cotto, as would Maidana. He might beat Ortiz, because Victor is a little short in smarts.

              he wasn't even ranked @ 154.

definitely not a great win for Cotto.... he should fight someone he actually has a chance against like Canelo

I disagree. The fight had an important place in restoring the sanctity of this sport. Cotto’s win avenged a “criminal brutality’ shown by that de****able human being that has absolutely no place in boxing. Yet people like you want to discredit his extremely successful career with your obvious disdain based on whatever reason which is irrelevant. Contrary to popular opinion, Cotto competes with both May and Pac now considering his recent upgrade in trainer and has a good chance of pulling it out. Although Canelo has some promise, he is not a top echelon/elite fighter on Cotto’s level yet.

The funniest thing here is the article itself. As if anyone actually cared what a soon to be journeyman like Rios has to say about anything. I'm more intrigued by his glue to the phrase "kinda sucks"
