  • In my heart of hearts I do not believe Mayweather really wants this fight. I think that Pacquiao does, but his promoter is doing everything he can to delay it by 6 months.

For those who say he only get $7 million in his fights, well to be honest that shouldn't affect negotiations. Pac should get what he deserves and whether his scumbag promoter decides to rob him blind or not, is Pac's problem not Mayweather's. It also shouldn't mean he should be grateful for Mayweather giving him a handout and excluding him from the other sources of revenue.

Pac has already shown he has great PPV potential, his last fight outdid Mayweather's 1.25m. In all he may not have outdid Mayweather in PPV but he has shown that his presence alone would contribute substantially to this fight being the most bought fight in PPV history and he deserves 50/50.

Floyd is scared of losing his zero. That's all there is to it...

A gamble where the odds is in your favor? You must be an idiot not to take it because the chance of getting 40mill is still high with a fight of this magnitude. Damn, you *****s really think like yesir..."peeleft:

Why would he ring up Pacquiao himself if he doesnt want the fight? Why offer him a 40M flat fee if he doesnt want the fight? He could just say he wants another vacation.

This is a legitimate argument, and something I made a big post on earlier in the thread.

Another dynamic going on here is Floyd is being made responsible for what Pac's promoter should have been doing. Manny's been getting paid like B-side and Floyd is now supposed to be the one that bails him out. He's like 'GTFO'. I bet you that's how he sees it in his mind.

$40 million flat is already 6 times the amount of what Manny usually gets outright. This is why you don't make an enemy out of your rival before you fight him. Now Pac almost needs the payday and blood is so bad between them, even negotiations themselves have turned into a game of one-up on the other, just like their fights and flinging buys, ratings and attendance back 'n forth.

            • I can't say enough how Bob Arum is a scum bag. He's done so much damage he even fades into the background. He's the main culprit in all this.

                  • 40M is pretty serious to me especially when your guarantees have been less than 10M. At the very least that should Team Pacman to the negoiation table. That is the most $$$ u ever made...u just don't walk away from that unless u don't wanna fight.
