Everything that is being posted on this thread about the split is total bull****. Mayweather could have offered him a $100 millin guarantee. It still wouldnt mean a damn thing if no negotiations take place, and to date, Pacquaio's promoter has been unwilling to negotiate with Mayweather's team.

People on this site take every rumor and every comment as gospel when it comes to Mayweather and Pacquaio and it makes absolutely no sense. If Arum sat down with Mayweather's representatives (and he knows who they are in spite of his ignorant claims) he could negotiate a split that would be 50-50 or a larger guarantee that would satisfy Pacquaio. Floyd's offer is an attempt to put pressure on Arum to negotiate the fight. It has not worked because Pacquaio continues to drink the Top Rank Kool-Aid administered to him by Arum and Michael Koncz. If he fights Bradley next for $6 million, there is a very good chance that he will lose and that $40 or $50 or $60 million he would have made against Mayweather will no longer be an option. Then, Arum will drop Pac like he dropped Eric Morales and Pac will end up broke like Evander Holyfield and Mike Tyson and will start whining about how he was ripped off by Arum.


I am a Mayweather fan, but I am not saying Pac should take the $40 million and run with it. However, he should stop allowing Arum and Koncz to use him and order his promoter to negotiate the best deal possible with Team Mayweather for a May 5 fight. A fight with Bradley, Marquez and/or Cotto should all take a back seat to the Mayweather fight.
