Honestly I knew that's gonna happen. Floyd is the ducker in this fight......you can try to color it how you want....the truth will always come out. Floyd knows how to manipulate the media....Pacquiao does not retaliate nor care about fronting. Floyd's facade can only last for so long.

the problem with floyd is he wants to control everything...from fight date to fight venue and now pac's purse. he also doesn't wanna work with arum so that means he wanna control the promotions as well.

To me, it's clear that Floyd's offer means Mayweather/GBP Promotions would have been the lead promoter for the fight, incurring much of the cost and thus, reaping much of the benefit. And it's clear that the exact opposite situation would have been the case with Arum's offer. I suspect Arum's offer included a different date though. It has to. Because he sure as heck didn't book May 5th and it doesn't sound like he's trying to play second fiddle.

Which is why Arum wants to change the date so he can control the venue and the promotion. The thing is people tend to think it's ok but in this case it's not. I trust Floyd ad Golden Boy with the promotion much more tha I would Bob the snake.

The proposed date for the big bout is March 13, 2010.
The official name of the promotion will be Mayweather vs. Pacquiao, signaling that Mayweather gets the top billing.
The fighters have agreed to a 50-50 split of money.
The bout will take place at the welterweight limit of 147 lbs.
The fighters will wear 8 ounce gloves, and can pick a brand of their choice.
The location of fight has not yet been revealed, but the three viable options are Las Vegas, New Orleans and Dallas.

All sorted out in the first week of the first negotiation.

I don't trust GBP or Arum. But yes...Arum's offer probably means June 9th. I commend Pacquiao for entertaining Mayweather but the reality is, he was never fighting on May 5th.
