I've listened enough to Manny to know what he says means squat. I know he said he'd take less but the truth is, he doesn't take anything. His own trainer called him "broke." $40m is ridiculous. I was actually quite shocked that was the offer. Woke up this morning and rubbed my eyes twice. At most, I expected each fighter to clear $50m from this but that's guesswork. The fighters aren't the only ones trying to get paid off this so if TR isn't going to share that risk...move on. Just move on.
Comments Thread For: Pacquiao Says Mayweather Offered a $40 Million Flat Fee

#1. Mayweather called Pac out long before anyone could even get Pac to even mention Mayweathers name in an interview.
#2. Mayweather was asking for the test since day one of fight talks.
#3. Pacman is the blame for the law suit. If he wasnt so afraid to take the test thier would be no law suit. Instead of proving hes clean by the test, he runs and gets a lawyer for a law suit.
#4. Mayweather has not asked for more money, he has demanded the lions share for every fight in the last 6 fights of his career, and rightfully so. Hes the money man!
Four lies in a row. do you win something for that?Comment

No son, im not jumping on the purse, you are, and so is Team Pacquaio. Also the purse became an issue as soon as Bob Arum and Pacquiao ran out of excuses. All before they said we just want the fight, we'll take a lesser purse, now that everything is materializing, they want to jump ship with new exuses. Ha Ha, you *******s are so ******. Your boy Pac never wanted this fight, its as clear as a summer day in Kingston Jamaica!Comment

Why would Manny have an offer from TR and then a separate one from Floyd? He's a TR fighter. That makes absolutely no sense. UNLESS...these two different offers each have two different lead promoters.Comment

Once he rejected it, Floyd moved off that offer and fought Mosley and clearly stated that if Manny wanted to fight, it would be NO cut off (why would someone need a cut off anyway). Then Manny comes back looking for that 14 day offer that he rejected that had been off the table for months.Comment

Honestly I knew that's gonna happen. Floyd is the ducker in this fight......you can try to color it how you want....the truth will always come out. Floyd knows how to manipulate the media....Pacquiao does not retaliate nor care about fronting. Floyd's facade can only last for so long.Comment

2. There was no OST until after Floyd Sr. mentioned it. The fight was about
to be signed when this came up.
3. Senior, Junior, Roger are all over the media/news accusing and soiling not only Pac's name but his county as a whole. So how does a logical man stop this? Yup common sense says + lawsuit. Did he shut up......well he was minimized.

Ok for ppl to say this is a fair deal is ludicrous. The fight can generate up to 2 million PPV buys and an obscene amount of money from tickets and from the local economy. Giving Pac only $40 million, would cut him out of the lionshare of the money.
For those who say he only get $7 million in his fights, well to be honest that shouldn't affect negotiations. Pac should get what he deserves and whether his scumbag promoter decides to rob him blind or not, is Pac's problem not Mayweather's. It also shouldn't mean he should be grateful for Mayweather giving him a handout and excluding him from the other sources of revenue.
Pac has already shown he has great PPV potential, his last fight outdid Mayweather's 1.25m. In all he may not have outdid Mayweather in PPV but he has shown that his presence alone would contribute substantially to this fight being the most bought fight in PPV history and he deserves 50/50.Comment
