Why can't you guys get it straight. His actual words as shown on BoxingScene were "I would even take a lesser share...." This in NO WAY implys "less than 50%. he may have been thinking about 60%, as well he could, since he's the global icon with world wide appeal, and FOTD. etc.

I've never seen anywhere that he said he would fight on May 5th. And even if he did, he's not a doctor nor promoter, and he would be getting into their line of work by saying such a thing. I don't believe it anyway. Just Mayweather fans' monkey chatter.

cotto is in a win win but the fans are not. and thats the main problem; if pac fights cotto, boooooo, we saw this play out already. can it go another way especially after coto got his balls back from Margarito, maybe but not likley. Does cotto deserve the shot against pac, hell yes he does. but i dont want to see the fight. if he fights floyd, easy work. boring easy work for floyd. booooooo, i will watch it but i know whats going to happen. i want to see floyd in combat. i want more 2nd rounds against Mosley. Is this actually a serious question? My post clearly shows that "taking less" doesn't mean less than 50% but merely less than he originally wanted, which could have been any given percentage but certainly more than 50%. I have not seen anywhere that Pacquioa actually mentioned 50% in his comment.

And since 50% for the 8 division champion of the decade for the big fight is very reasonable, why don't you query Mayweather for expecting more than 50%, considering he has fought only 4 times in the past 5 years against carefully chosen against opponents not expected to win, and has nothing except his gimmicked "0"??
