I know Pacquiao looks like a ho for even remotely thinking about fighting Cotto, but Floyd does too. They both are not worth a food stamp as far as giving fans what they want. Why don't Floyd just fight Alvarez if he wants a money fight? He may be inexperienced, but he is undefeated. And just like Floyd said, he'd be fighting Pacquiao's leftovers if he fought Cotto. Either one of these guys against Cotto is a garbage fight, and how can Arum even let Cotto fight Floyd if he is shielding Manny away from Floyd? I find it hard to believe.

In line with Teddy Atlas' (for a change good) article, it's very possible that MannyP was expecting 60%, or at a squeeze, 55%, since it is he who is the global icon, the FOTD with world wide appeal, which Mayweather does not have.
You've been saying that Pacquiao agreed to the May 5th fight in mid-December already.
This just could not be true, since he got that bone-deep 3 stitched layers totalling 28 stitches in mid Nov. He's no doctor, and it's generally known that his doctor, who took over an hour to stitch him up, has said "no sparring until April the earliest". That's a minimum of 4.5 months to heal properly, about normal for such a cut.
I don't believe you about Pacquiao agreeing to May 5th. but if he did, then he may have been showing his ingrained, agreeable personality, to suit a present need to give an answer that the rabid writers could drool over. Some of this drooling has splashed onto you, it seems. You must be aware that at least 95% of everything we hear about this projected fight, is only rumour and speculation, with new headlines twice a day.
The only 2 things I'm aware of, that are reasonably true, are, 1) that Ross Greenburg confirmed that negotions had been ongoing, although Mayweather denied it. Oscar said they were close to conclusion, although Schaefer got himself in a knot later, trying to show that Oscar was "misquoted".......a well worn (out) excuse.
And 2) is that a few months ago, Keith Kizer, Head of the NASC stated that he called a meeting the previous year,(must be 18 months ago by now) which was attended by Top Rank, Golden Balls, and Pacquiao. They all came to an agreement on the fight, but, as he said.........Maywaather didn't attend. Kizer said "he didn't even acknowledge the invitation, .......I put the blame for this fight not happening squarely on the shoulders of Floyd Mayweather Jr........
These two corroborations are too heavy to dodge even for Mayweather, and now the latest, "no 50-50'...".
We all MUST come to the realisation that it has been Mayweather who has been avoiding this fight, regardless of his present "seeming" eagerness. I realised this long ago.

And since 50% for the 8 division champion of the decade for the big fight is very reasonable, why don't you query Mayweather for expecting more than 50%, considering he has fought only 4 times in the past 5 years against carefully chosen against opponents not expected to win, and has nothing except his gimmicked "0"??
Forgot, he also has his big mouth.

Wow, so they're really pushing for a Cotto re-match.
Disgusting.
Manny should retire, if he has "chosen" to fight someone he already whooped.
What a ****ing circus.

Disgusting by Team Pac. They had it their way all the way around in the first match, why can't they adjust in the second match? They know Cotto will have a hard time making 147 now since he has been in jr. middleweight. He has gain muscle lbs. There is no way Cotto makes 147 comfortably, it will be Cotto/Pac 1 all over again.
