Cotto at Welterweight has a better resume.
Fights that you lost doesnt count son.
    Cotto(147) Quintana, Judah, Clottey, Mosley
Mayweather (147) Judah, Baldomir, Hatton, JMM, Mosley, Ortiz

Mayweather by a land slide, not even close. Plus Mayweather dominated every round, two ended in KO's. The rest were one sided beatings. Cotto fights were all close, and without those low blows Cotto would have lost to Judah by ko!

If you gents look at it objectively and look at the numbers provided with no biases the you goy the following:

      Miguel Cotto
      Opponents Total Wins: 644
      Total Losses: 54
      Their Winning Percentage: 93.615%

      Floyd Mayweather Jr.
      Opponents Total Wins: 778
      Total Losses: 64
      Their Winning Percentage: 91.744%

Based on that information ONLY Miguel has faced opponents with a better winning percentage.....and in theory, "better".

When your opponants are fighting bums winning Percentage doesnt mean ****. Who has Quintana fought, or who has Clottey fought at the time they faced Cotto?

Quintana beat Julio who Dan Rafael was in love with. Clottey fought Margarito which was a big fight back in the day.

So it's not like either were nobodies.

I mean mayweather fought no one in 2008 and only Corley in 2004.

            That's almost worse.

We won't even get into the triumvarite of Sharmba Mitchell, Corley, and Bruseles.

Which normally wouldn't be bad fights but floyd proved his worth, before and we demanded better so I feel like Floyd should be held to a higher standard, because he's a lot better.

To me it's almost more like who Cotto tried to beat versus who Mayweather didn't fight past 2003.

I at first thought Cotto had the better resume but after thinking about it some more I would have to go with Floyd. The only person that Cotto has on his resume that Floyd still needs is Manny Pacquiao. Floyd has fought more Hall Of Famers, more undefeated fighters, and has beat champions in more weight classes than Cotto has. Too bad I can't change my vote but I'd go with Floyd by a slight margin. If he were to face Pacquiao and beat him than his resume beats Cotto's by a huge margin.

Floyd resume is better than Cotto resume by a huge margin already.
