Why do u want to see welterweights fight middleweights?

Maravalla should pick on someone his own size and fight the Son of God?

Damn, this is the most one sided poll I've seen on boxingscene although it is for obvious reasons. We've seen Pacquiao vs Cotto already and the public has wanted to see Mayweather vs.Cotto for some time now. Mayweather would win quite easily but the fight would not look anything like Pac's fight with Cotto. Less action and both guys going home with less punishment done to each other is how I see this fight going.

Cotto vs Floyd is a great fight any day. Im a Floyd guy but i know patience by his opponents frustrates him. Cotto doesn't get flustered easily. As for Pacquiao vs Cotto.. I think Cotto beats him in the rematch. WHY?!? I have no f---ing clue. I just have a feeling Cotto does his hw...watches the JMM fight.. gets some pointers...and gets it done. I have always argued that Cotto is a far superior boxer than Pacquiao. Pacquiao's speed is the difference maker. Both fights would be epic.

If either guy fought him at 154 lbs, it's a legit fight, B+. But, if it's at 150 or 147, it falls to a C/C-.

I said Mayweather-Cotto because we already know Manny won't fight him at 154, and because Mayweather-Cotto at 154 may be interesting. Cotto is still past his prime-still good, basically the same guy he was in 09' when Manny beat him. Miguel will never be the guy he was from 2003-2008 since Antonio KO'd him, never. But, he is still good, one of the top 154 lb fighters in the world.

I'd rather see Kirkland-Cotto or Alvarez-Cotto to be honest.

With that said, Floyd beats Cotto by UD. Probably around 118-110/10 rounds to 2.

It really doesn't matter who Mayweather fights at this point. The fans will love him and the critics will absolutely hate him.

Cotto isn't even relevant in terms of a legacy.

The only active fighter who might be is Pacquiao, and even then a good run < a career built only on success against Top 3 fighters.

Cotto HAS to be open to all options nowadays simply because beggars cannot be choosers. He would be the recipient of a mega fight ... the receiver of a gift.

Today, Cotto is only useful as a opponent to make other fighters look good against him. It’s as it was when he fought Pacquiao. Even one fight prior he struggled and had to get dirty with Clottey who has never really been anything but what Cotto is now.

I would prefer that Cotto fight Paul Williams. Let's see if Paul has made the adjustments to come back or fade like so many before him.

Fans want questions answered in the ring, not depictions of what we all have seen already. Were it not for Margarito's loaded glove fiasco, no one would have ever wanted to even see that rematch.

Floyd vs Cotto at 154 should be great.
