of course, cotto is playing hard-to-get with arum. he has to show that he has other options than pac. meaning, he wants a larger offer from arum. it's all about money for cotto now.

of course, mayweather will have tons of excuses not to fight cotto. last time i checked, floyd's excuse was tr fighters are out of floyd's radar screen. but then cotto is a free agent now. so what's the excuse this time?

pac/cotto 2 needs to be stopped before arum schedules the fight. this is a useless fight.

If no Pac vs May then Cotto vs Floyd at 154 is the best fight that can be made no doubt.

In a way I wouldn't mind seeing Mayweather vs. Cotto, just because that would mess up Bob Arum's plans for Pacquiao.

And Pac would be forced to fight someone new like Tim Bradley or Lamont Peterson. (unless he wants to be embarrassed against JMM again.)

The fact is, Arum is doing everything that he can to keep Pacquiao hidden away from Mayweather, so why would he give him Cotto?

Is this serious? Who the hell expected Malignaggi or Quintana to do anything against Cotto? Paulie was still a prospect and Quintana is far from slick. Look, I'm happy for Miguel and hope he gets one final huge payday before he's done because he's always been a warrior but let's not get crazy, Miguel gets shutout against Floyd. I'd actually expect a TKO in the latter rounds.

I don't get why people would rather see cotto vs mayweather. Cotto vs pac is more competitive and more action. Let's not forget that cottos dad passed before the pac fight and he had no trainer. I don't give cotto a chance against either guy but a mayweather fight would be a boring wipeout. I want floyd vs martinez, pac vs bradley, cotto vs canelo and marquez vs peterson but that would make too much sense.

Nothing will stop Manny Pacquiao from choosing the oldest, or the worst opponent he can pick. Or a combination of both.

If he can't fight Cotto, you think he'll fight Bradley? He will go with the oldest opponent he can fight, which is JMM. Remember when he had the options to pick between Marquez, Berto, and Mosley? Who did he pick? The oldest and worst one, the one coming off the worst couple of performances. No matter what any one says, JMM is a cherrypick. It doesn't matter if JMM beat him, it was just a cherrypick gone bad, like DLH vs Pacquiao. It was a cherrypick gone wrong, but still a cherrypick for DLH at the end of the day. Team Pacquiao are insane if they fight Marquez again.

Pac will never decisively beat Marquez, because he cannot, end of story.

And he will never look good fighting him.

If they select Marquez again, it will most likely mean that my su****ions were correct..... that there is a reason why Pac was a little lighter than usual, not so ripped, he did not seem to have the same stamina, confidence, or aggression...... ask yourself, if they fight Marquez again, what could possibly change that will allow Pac to perform better this time around?

Anyone with an ounce of sense would tell Pacquiao to avoid Marquez like the plague, because he has got Manny's number, no question.

I think he will fight Peterson. Made-to-order, the lesser threat, Pac should increase his stock in that fight.

I hope Cotto-Mayweather happens. This is still a intriguing match-up.

Cotto has proven himself a good boxer with good timing in his punches, over the years. Some "slick" guys who were supposed to outbox him and pick him apart, didn't do so. Starting from Malignaggie, to Quintana, to Judah, hell even Mosley to a lesser extent.

The only guys who beat him were strong, aggressive or power punching types. Now Mayweather is no Malignaggie or Carlos QUintana but still. This would be fun to watch. Cotto will either get outboxed or he won't. There is no way Floyd does to Cotto, what Margarito or even Pacquiao did. Not unless Floyd picks up his workrate or develops a Heavyweight power punch all of a sudden.
