when was the last time Manny fought a high ranked WW? Cotto?

    - First and foremost they are not with TR, so Bob can't control everything and make as much money as he would and keep his fighters happy by giving them a shot at Manny.

    - Berto is managed by Haymon.....nuff said.

    - Both Berto and Ortiz would be very very live underdogs. Why risk it when you can have Manny fight Petersen or Cotto again??

IMO the real question is why did Pacman leave a sellable unification fight with Berto on the table so Floyd could swoop in & beat his conquerer? Instead of beating all those old, shot or weightdrained fighters he could have actually fought someone worthwhile.

Exactly. We all know how Top Rank operates, and neither Ortiz or Berto would be an in-house fight.
