Originally posted by LeadUppercut View PostOSDT's, and after calling Manny a punk, Team Pacquiao crawled up their own arse and responded with 5 silly excuses, each of which are laughable, including this gem.....
To the Filipino media... " making the fight is more important than money "
To the American media... " we cannot fight on May 5th because we need to build a new stadium in order to maximize the revenue "
Now we are waiting to see if Mayweather is an idiot, or if he publicly states that he will agree to 50/50 just to get the fight made if Team Pacquiao will agree to May 5th.
Shall we change the subject and talk about something else ?
As we all know, Arum is a clever businessman, or shall we say, greed businessman (after all, this is business) that's why he sticked for at least 50/50 sharing to Floyd-Pac mega fight. However, Pac who appeareed in disgust of Floyd's continuosy ducking him, stated that he will accept fight for Floyd even for a lesser share just to make this fight happen. Arum, i believe did not agree to this Pac statement and he wanted Pac to retract to what he said, hence he devised for a new negotiation leverage. Here's the new stadium excuse, came up of which Arum will agree for Pac lesser stake provided, they would fight in the new stadium that is currently build upon its completion that falls around at least in the first or second week of June, but he knew that most-likely, Floyd will disagree. In this case, Pac statement of taking a lesser stake will not be happened!
Now that Floyd disagree, then back to the original fair sharing, Pac camp would be the one to concede to Floyd's term of staging fight on May 5, provided, the share should be 50/50! So, when Pac demanded for 50/50 to Floyd by telephone for May 5 date, Arum has no comment because he have no problem actually for May 5! Now, Floyd argument of Pac lesser stake is dead, because he did not agree to Pac terms! Now that Pac agreed to Floyd terms on May 5, but for 50/50 sharing, then the ball is really on Floyd side!Last edited by SceneSpectator!; 01-22-2012, 03:07 AM.
