Be honest it doesn't it matter toyou if May said that you're just going to make excuses for him and say well Pac said he's take a smaller purse. The point is it's another road block to for the fight, like any other real boxing fan and non-nuthugger I just want the fight to happen it was Arum that was screwing it up now May decided he's doesn't care about making this fight happen for the fans either. Fu$%! both of them!

"We only know that "Mayweather makes more money" because Mayweather "says' that he does. Without genuine proof, and knowing that Mayweather is a serial narcissic liar, I doubt it. I'd guess that his expenses are little less than Pacquiao's, and he doesn't make anything like he boasts. He is being chased all the time by the IRS for millions, on which they charge big interest, and even for car and large property payments. Since he has an infrastructure to handle all these day to day things, it's a sign that they don't actually have the cash flow to settle these debts.I didnt expect you to read what i type and take it literally but i guess youre right boxing is the only sport where idiocy is the norm. At the end of the day Mayweather is his own boss and make more money. Bob Arum is Pacquiao's boss and pay him a small percentage. Sugar coat it however you like but it wont change the reality of the situation.
As dor Arum paying Pacquiao "a small fraction" of his purse....if you've evr read anything about the financial relationship between Top ank and MannyP, you'd know that it is MannyP who pays Top Rank 27% of his purse, no more, no less. And, for your information solely, from that 27% Top Rank must pay out a large proportion of this, in order to make the promotion. They have to pay for EVEYTHING.
Yes, to me anyway, and as they should, who has the inclination to speak before thinking, words really mean something. In the circumstances of our exchange of opinions, you would find it educational to pull up ""Promoters' duties" on the internet. After reading this, you may have more respect for Top Rank, and all GOOD promoters.Comment

I have been blamin Arum for the past few wks, bc we all know he doesnt want the fight - he has a new excuse every day of the wk (Manny's cut, floyd's guarantee, doesn't know who to call, temporary arena); but this is obviously true. If a fake quote was released on ESPN, Floyd wouldve disputed it by now.In all honesty, it does seem kind of strange.
Why would Mayweather email ESPN at all in general? That's what I don't get.
And yeah, it's really brought them out
That's all it takes and it's not even a direct quote from Mayweather or his team at this point.
The fanbase is really something else.
again, Its obvious Arum dont want the fight; but now its obvious floyd dont want it as much as he was sayin, bc he should know 50/50 is necessary for the fight to happen.
Yes, Pac had stated he'd take less than 50%, but we know his team wouldn't allow it, nor should they. Pac's PPV #s have been huge, and 50/50 is really the only way for the fight to happen. Floyd even agreed to 50/50 2 yrs ago, and PAc is a bigger mainstream star since then. At that point Floyd was already huge.
I will keep sayin it. I WILL BOYCOTT ALL PAC AND MAY FIGHTS TIL THEY FIGHT EACH OTHER, AND TRUE BOXING FANS SHOULD DO THE SAME!Comment

Apparently..u have no clue. It was ***** who called konz/pac in the philipines...arum was never overseas when that call was made..so its obvious arum was not involved in that conversation.I love how Bob said "apparently" Floyd is asking for more than a 50/50 split, as if he isn't sure. Theres still something about this 50/50 split story that makes no sense. I get the feeling that Arum isn't that involved in whatever is going on w/ these supposed negotiations.Comment

Agreed - f*** both of them - and no more $ in either of their pockets. b/c they really dont care about the fans AT ALL. Mayweather can say he cares about his fans but hed accept 50/50 if he really wanted to make this fight happen. Also, Arum doenst even pretend to care about the fans. either way, PLEASE BOXING FANS - NO MANNY FLOYD PPV PURCHASES UNTIL THE FIGHT IS MADE !Be honest it doesn't it matter toyou if May said that you're just going to make excuses for him and say well Pac said he's take a smaller purse. The point is it's another road block to for the fight, like any other real boxing fan and non-nuthugger I just want the fight to happen it was Arum that was screwing it up now May decided he's doesn't care about making this fight happen for the fans either. Thanks for the endorsement, I get very few, mostly the reverse. In support of your comments on how much Pacquiao made, I believe they are even conservative. I think I've seen in Forbes that MannyP has been the top earning athlete for the past year or three. His high-end endorsements and global involvement bring him in quite a few millions more.Good post. It's amusing how people think Mayweather simply earns these tens of millions of dollars without having to pay anyone. What, do they just do their job for free? Ellerbe, Floyd's huge entourage, Shaeffer, Haymon? Is Floyd such a nice guy they just let him take a clean sweep of the revenue? It's laughable. 'Pays whom he wants'! I'll have to remember that one.
As for Floyd's idiotic comment about Pacquiao making more money with him than he's made in his whole career....please. Pacquiao made $20-30 million from the Mosley fight alone. He had a $22 million guarantee for the Marquez fight, and by all accounts likely raked in more - around $30 million according to badlefthook and other sources. That's $50-60 million from 2011 alone. Factor in his myriad endorsements and you're nearer $70 million.
As for the Cotto fight, Manny received around $22 million according to ESPN. For Hatton he made $12 million plus a slice of the PPV.
That's not even counting the Margarito, Clottey or De La Hoya fights. So, Floyd - please - take your head out of your a$$ for a second.Comment
