Sergio Martinez' has no ground to stand on.....

He can't keep on calling Manny and Floyd this or that.....they are STILL Welterweights and he's STILL a Middleweight. Yes, Sergio would enhance both of their legacies, but they should feel no obligation to fight him. He's still 2 division above them.

And the reason Sergio has zero ground to stand on with this is the fact that he's calling out 147 lb fighters, and avoiding anyone at 168 lbs, only one division above him. If he's not ready to fight Ward or Bute at a CW, he shouldn't be talking crap about Welterweights not fighting him. He has legit crap to talk about Cotto and Chavez Jr, but not Floyd or Manny.

If he's not going to fight any of the good 168 lb fighters, than he should just shut up and clean out Middleweight. Fight Macklin, Lee-Sturm winner, Pirog, Geale, Quillin, and even Lara said he could fight at 160.

But, I'd bet a million bucks that Sergio would never fight Erislandy Lara.

I like Sergio, he's a great fighter, but he's got zero ground to stand on with the s**t he talks.

It's not like somebody's been saying that for like 2 years now or anything.

He said he'd fight Ward at 164 a hundred times.

That's why Ray Leonard is one of the greatest in my book. He didn't have to fight Hagler, but he did and beat him.

He just wants a pay day and a big fight. Not much to ask for when you've clearly established yourself as the top middleweight and fought the opposition he has. I'd like to see him fight the like of pirog, golovkin and some of the other good prospects about but lets face it there isn't much in the way of a pay day outside of Sturm in the division. A lot of these middleweights need to show themselves to be above the pack.

Ray Leonard was a natural WW who started at WW. Floyd started at SFW. Pac started at a much lower weight. What exactly is your point?

Sergio busts Lara up, he's gonna smack Macklin around, then he's going to drop back to 154 and have Pac and Mayweather ready to exit stage left and hightail it from the boxing world forever.

Hopkins did the same thing. He use to call out Delahoya and Trinidad when they were welterweights and wiling to fight at 150 to make the fight. If anything Martinez is following the road of Hopkins to get a superfight.

So who do you want to see Mayweather fight next
                    if Pac fight doesn't happen?
