the only fight that would do more for JMM's legacy at 140 over the morales fight is bradley
What year are you stuck in?

I think so. Fighting Peterson or Bradley would be good for his legacy, especially if he wins. JMM would be fighting a young prime fighter, either of which are in the top 3 @ 140. Peterson beat Khan fair and square, he wanted to fight and Khan would have rather been anywhere else in the world, except for that ring. Ortiz was also lucky to salvage a draw in that fight, if it had been a 12 rounder he would have gotten a L that night. Ortiz won 3 rounds in that fight, it was only close on the cards because of the 2 knockdowns in round 3. Peterson is underrated IMO and will beat Khan eve more decisively in the rematch. Khan doesn't have the power to keep Lamont off of him and he can't handle the pressure.

Morales is going to defend his title against Garcia, so why is he even in the conversation lol. At least Lamont is in his prime, Morales has definitely seen better days.

Love Marquez, but it's a bit disappointing that he's interested in those belts now that Khan doesn't have them, rather L.Peterson who style-wise matches up better than a rangy very fast boxer like Khan.

Having said that, i wouldn't mind this bout at all if Khan-Peterson 2 isn't happening and Marquez isn't fighting Pacquiao

So Marquez winning another belt in another division does nothing for him? Beating a prime young fighter at 140 does nothing for JMM? Beating a prime Lamont does way more to JMM legacy than an over the hill Morales.

Floyd beat JMM because JMM added fat instead of muscle and was fat instead of lean. JMM is a great boxer, but Floyd is better at everything JMM is great at. He just lost to the best boxer in the world.
