USA had a good run with Sampras and Agassi. After a long while of dominance by any country there's usually a period where they are out in the wilderness, so to speak. Djokovic (my favourite) is currently dominating. All it takes is one player. Rod**** doesn't have any subtlety or finesse. He just bludgeons the ball. The Williams sisters dominated for a long time (after Hingis) then the Belgians came along and broke that dominance, then we had Russians, now Wozniacki.

Happens in every sport. Those who know their cricket can use the West Indies teams of the mid 70''s to 80's as an example. Absolutely dominant and scary team, now the Windies suck. Ditto Australia. We had a team that dominated for 10 years in cricket, and it wasn't even competitive....not so anymore.
