And how is having ONE fight in the last year and a half paying Martinez SOOOOO much money that he can turn down a fight with a star???????? Damn, I'd love to get Rich doing nothing like he appears to be doing. Burgos would take the fight in a heartbeat if he wasn't tied up.

I think Martinez truly thinks he deserves more loot. What I'm saying is that he's being short-sighted by focusing too much on the money. That is, of course, if the offer was reasonable in the first place.

Yuri might only be making a pit-stop at 130, so Mendez or Burgos aren't interesting to me. I'd much rather Broner or, better yet, Uchiyama.
I'm sure it's situational; he's probably not short on confidence in general, something about his opponent. The thing is, losing is one thing but getting destroyed is another. He doesn't want to be remembered like Solis on HBO.

Anyway, I'd love for Yuri to pick up a passthrough belt at JFW (which Martinez doesn't bring either), mostly because his build will not allow too much weight jumping. Actually I think Burgos could be a good "tuneup" for Rios. Mendez, not so much.

Maybe you're right, man; I'm just not inclined to believe it. lol

Burgos would make for a good fight, I think; but if you're only stopping at 130 for one fight, you should make it count as much as possible. If Broner or Uchiyama can't be made, then I'd take Salgado over Burgos.

I agree that Yuri probably isn't built to go above 135. It's too bad that 130 is fairly dry; Gamboa could've stayed there for a while.
