Hard to believe he's past prime, when he looked exactly the same in 2004 and 2008 as he did in 2011 against Marquez.

So just say he's always ******, not that he's shot.

Take note guys. The only guy on here who has actually noticed the fact that Floyd isn't the fighter he used to be. If Floyd had the same speed of hand and foot and reflexes as he did when he fought Baldomir, i would give Manny ZERO chance.

he's got some serious fights left

against the right opponent he can look spectacular again
unfortunately i dont see many on the horizon who fit the standards of the billing
When does a Greyhound look fastest , when against an Elephant or another Greyhound , remember its the same Greyhound , your IS and WAS iis all relative to comparing something , you cant compare a time warp against somebody else , and here you are saying the Greyhound has lost a step because he looked so much faster running against the Elephant .

Manny is NOT shot. Even Cotto, is NOT "SHOT". Margarito is shot, Mosley is shot, Castillo is shot.

Manny and Floyd are BOTH past their prime-still good. Same as Leonard and Hagler in 1987. Still the top 2 in the sport.

Manny is not shot at all, but he hasn't improved as much as Roach told everybody. He still has some flaws and limitations that were exposed by Marquez (again), but put him again against slow flat footed weight drained guys and he's still going to beat them.

They aren't shot though. Shot is past your prime-not even good anymore. Ali was past his prime-still good from the Quarry and Bonavena fights in 70' until the 3rd Frazier fight in 75'. After the Frazier fight in 75', Ali was past his prime-not even that good anymore. He was shot.

Floyd and Manny are like how Leonard and Hagler were in 87', past their primes-still good, but still the top couple fighters in the sport.

Manny hasn't been prime since Cotto in 09' and Floyd hasn't been prime since Hatton in 07'. I'd say Floyd's prime was 2000/2001-2007 and Manny's was 2001/2002-2009. Right now, they are both past their primes-still good. I'd say Floyd right now is like how Ali was in 72-73. He still has two more years until he fades big time, in my opinion. I'd say he has 3-4 fights left where he could still be good, before he falls off and isn't that good anymore.

Mayweather-Pacquiao is still a great fight. No one at 34 is in their prime, it's a rarity. Sergio Martinez, who's arguably better the past 2-3 years than he ever has been, is a rare case.

"Shot" is not fighters who are past their prime-still good. "Shot" is past your prime-not even that good anymore (Margarito, Morales, Mosley, etc.)

ricky hatton had moderate handspeed and very fast feet

                  always did

and antonio margarito is slower than mollasses

i actually watch the fights, kid
i dont let some sort of membership in one fanbase or the other dictate my logic

manny is a former flyweight with an aggressive style fighting at WW and taking some punishment in victory

he's had almost sixty fights. he's 33 years old

he's not as fast as he used to be. that doesnt make him shot
you'll have to learn to deal with that down the road.

he's not as fast or as fluid as he was then

he's also cramping later on his fights and in training
a sign thaty his body is beginning to break down

In the boxing world where there are tons of meaningless championship titles which change hands all the time, yes, in a boxing sense, I think he's closer to a bum than elite. He's had one good win his entire career and got gifted a mega-money fight with Mayweather. He may prove me wrong down the road but right now my opinion stands.

I Didn't mean bum in a literal sense, you dimwit. Are you gonna get on my nuts for calling David Diaz a bum too?

Pac did improve with Roach. Not in boxing skills though. His only improvements were stamina, and strength. Thats why he looks good against people like Cotto,Margarita,Old de-hydrated De la hoya,Clotty,Diaz, and washed up Hatton. Put him in there with Marquez,Mayweather,Bradley,Berto,Ortiz,Sergio Martinez,Lucas matthysse,Marcos Rene Maidana,or Robert Guerrero and he will loose. But dont worry Pacquiao will never fight these guys, ever, unless they take a serious beat down and ko'ed, or fight at a weight that has them at thier worst. Everytime he fights a thinking fighter with skills he looks like a fool, hoping and skipping around the ring, throwing up his hands everytime he gets clocked. All that does is tell his opponant ,look out hear comes a flurry, now set your feet and time me coming in with a counter right or left hook, if its berto then the Uppercut, goodnight.

PEDS could be the reason for stamina, strength and rapid muscle gain, without loosing speed. Also explains his ability to take punches from bigger guys. I believe the Pacquiao in Marquez 3 fight was clean. He looked like his normal self. His boxing was the same, but his ability to walk through punches was not the same. No way in the hell does Marquez hit harder than Cotto, shane, or Margarita. But if you saw the fight you saw Pacquiao rocked by little Marquez over and over, it made him afraid to throw punches in bunches like he usually does. Pacquiao also looked tired in the later rounds. I believe he was off the PEDS in the Marquez fight as a test run for Mayweather. It did not go well naturally so the fight will never happen!
