why are they even pursuing this idea? boxing is horrible to watch in a large stadium. got first hand experience from klitschko fights.
unlike other sports boxing is not a good format to have in a large venue because you see almost nothing from the far away seats, just that two guys are beating each other up but not much detail.
but okay for a low price it's worth it, but nobody will pay 1500$ for that. the big money seats in MGM are usually reserved for celebs who can afford them. you are not gonna have 38000 celebs and few regular fans will want to spend that much money.

Only an idiot would wanna be in bleacher seats instead of a closed circuit atmosphere or at a fight party. This fight will already do 3 million PPVs how greedy can you get in a ****ed up economy!!! Let the idiots who just wanna be there spend 1500 for bleacher seats. Anything to keep this fight from happening. I'm convinced that the people supporting Arum's foolishness don't wanna see this fight happen.

However, I did give him the benefit of doubt about the stadium's ability to hold a big time fight. Now I even question that.

The way Arum talks, you would think it was going to be a "sports palace," with all the accommodations and amenities of a major hotel (i.e., those venues who have traditionally put on fights). It's going to be anything but.

After hearing Floyd's manager point out the glaring flaws in Arum's Stadium, Arum's excuses are a joke.

The problem here is that this new, temporary stadium will be built in a dusty parking lot. It will have bleacher sitting, temporary restrooms and a severe lack of concession stands. Also, those extra seats will be between 50 and a 100 yards from the temporary ring.

Who the hell would pay a grand to sit in bleachers that far away from the ring.

        It doesn't make sense.

I don't think ANYONE would even sit 100 yards away if they had a ***ing pair of Binoculars that they were given free at the gate! Arum is taking some damn good drugs! Taylor - Chavez was at the MGM and this fight can be too. If Arum would accept the MGM, it is possible Mayweather would try to change the date and the court and MGM would accept. Arum needs to compromise.

BINGO! This is not the economy for Arum to get THIS greedy that he takes huge amounts of money so someone can sit on a bleacher and look at two little dots in front of them and try to see which dot is Mayweather and which dot is Pac. WTF!!!

It's the average income and/or real fans who won't get the tickets that will no doubt sell out instantly.

Also continuing to call a temporary place a lot? Well guess what, I'll stand in a lot then. I'd like to see the fight in person. Boxing fans are not that fancy. Most just want to enjoy it live. Yeah we'd rather not go to the fight at all then not be in the MGM. Bull****.

Someone with actual authority in Mayweather's case needs to come forward with some official documents and confirm for certain once and for all. Can Mayweather legally move from the May 5th date. Whether it's true or it isn't, it would at least allow for the next round of posturing and negotiation.
Dont you get it, to reach 60 Million like Arum said... the cost of bleacher seats would not be fan friendly either.

Mayweather's excuse about not being able to fight 2 weeks later than the date of May 5th = bull****

This fight ever actually happening? = at this point who gives a ****

Arums plan will not get off the ground and would be doomed to failure if it did. Man, you can go to a movie theater and see Pac vs Mayweather for $15 bucks like they did with Mayweather vs Mosley/Ortiz. Or you can pay the $60 for PPV or you can pay the $4.00 for private streams. Arums plan fails before or at least after the fight proceeds from the gate are tallied.

Bob's outdoor venue doesn't have anything to with Floyd and it has everything to do with Bob's greed. I have a strong feeling that Bob is pretty upset with the guys over at the MGM Grand for allowing Floyd to place a hold on May 5th. so his outdoor stadium is a way of paying them back. He's going to take his cash cow to another venue to spite them. He makes it seem as if Pacquiao is too big for the MGM. He feels the need to have more seats for his fights but they will find empty seats just as they did in Dallas. Everyone knows that Floyd fights at the MGM. What better way to duck the fight than to ask for it to be held elsewhere. Way to go Bob. The 1st fight in this new arena is going to tank.
