If Floyd fights in december like proposed & ginger beats Lopez, I just don't see golden boy risking putting ginger in there with a top 154lber with a Floyd fight looming.Comment

I guess somewhere down the line, common sense & the ability to read & understand got lost in the confusion of Pacman asking for catchweights again huh??
Pacman asks for the catchweight of 150 for Martinez. Floyd didn't ask for the catchweight. The people giving the interview simply brought to Floyd's attention that Martinez would come as low as 150 to fight.
Floyd didn't say he wanted Martinez to come there, he answered the damn question. With that said, I believe Martinez should be the next fight for Floyd. Over ginger, or Pacman. However if Floyd feels like a tune-up, the Ghost on hbo would be fine.
All is for naught anyway, because Floyd is a business 1st boxer so I'm fairly certain he'll duck Martinez, fight ginger & his fans will love him for it.Comment

And I respect that. But there are fans of his like Dunn & a few others that have already defended the fight. Calling the event big. Sure it might make them loads of money but any Floyd fan that has their loyalties tied more to the sport than just 1 guy knows that fight is complete & utter nonsense & a total disrespect to anything respectable about the sport.
Bush you get that message I sent you?Comment

I am a big fan of PBF just as you are but if Martinez is willing to come down to 154 for a PBF fight and PBF instead chooses to fight Canelo than that is a DUCK flat out. Martinez is the better opponent and will bring some money to that fight as well. Especially since he already said he is willing to test and do a 85-15 split.Comment

Man, I've always made the argument that you can't call Mayweather not fighting Martinez a duck, but having a belt AGAIN at 154, with Sergio still willing to make this fight happen at 154, sure as hell makes me consider changing my mind.
Fighting Alvarez instead of Martinez sure feels like it can be called a duck. An understandable duck because of the money involved in fighting Alvarez, but damn.Comment

Look at your post. Of course Martinez is willing to come to 154 for a floyd fight, its the most lucrative out there. He's not dropping down for the challenge that Mayweather brings, but the money. we should be able to agree with this.
So if its ok for Sergio to choose money (floyd at 154) over challenge (Ward 168) why is it wrong if floyd chooses money (canelo 154) over challenge (Martinez 154)?
NO MORE ****ING DOUBLE STANDARDS FOR TOP P4P FIGHTERS.Comment

after ALOT of politicing, I got my hands on a Martinez career set...not ALL of his fights, some early fights at 147 are missing and a couple at 154, but I got the most important ones....BEEN had the Money May set
with that said, I have a change of heart....I used to THINK Sergio would beat Floyd...not anymore....Floyd can beat him, and quite easily imo....I wasn't checking Sergio out to match him with Floyd, I was seeing how he was gonna massacre JCC Jr.....but after seeing this thread bumped I thought I would just share that....Floyd can beat him at 160 imo.....its a technique difference between the 2...and its a big difference imo
Sergio will beat up Jr in Sept....the thing is, Floyd probably won't look his way, even if Sergio gets to calling him out...which I think is a definite after JrComment
