Anyway, this is old and before Mayweather fought Cotto at 154
. I'm sure if this fight happens, it would probably happen at a catchweight of 155 plus or at 154. Floyd knows Martinez is The Ring champ at MW, so he'd love to get that last Ring championship before retiring, making him 3-division Ring Champion + 130lbs Lineal Champion, while also becoming a 6 division titlist. But i'd also be okay with the fight being at 154 and Floyd defends his WBA title. A CW anywhere from 150-160 vs Martinez would be perfectly fine as well. It's a legit top 10 P4P opponent, not a come forward, non-rated, coming off a loss, punching bag. And they are also around the same age.
    Exactly.

If the fights happens, I really hope it's at 154 or 160.

I said for Pacquiao and I'll say it Mayweather. That catchweight is only going affect one of those fighters and if Mayweathet has to ask for it, he doesn't trust his skills for the task. Mayweather's a welterweight, Martinez is a middleweight. They should meet in the middle if no title is on the line or if Martinez wants the WBA 154lbs title. If May doesn't trust his skills for that, then don't fight.

I guess somewhere down the line, common sense & the ability to read & understand got lost in the confusion of Pacman asking for catchweights again huh??

Pacman asks for the catchweight of 150 for Martinez. Floyd didn't ask for the catchweight. The people giving the interview simply brought to Floyd's attention that Martinez would come as low as 150 to fight.

Floyd didn't say he wanted Martinez to come there, he answered the damn question. With that said, I believe Martinez should be the next fight for Floyd. Over ginger, or Pacman. However if Floyd feels like a tune-up, the Ghost on hbo would be fine.

All is for naught anyway, because Floyd is a business 1st boxer so I'm fairly certain he'll duck Martinez, fight ginger & his fans will love him for it.

154 or 160, no BS catchweight.

Big fan of PBF but if he fights Canelo I would be pissed. WTF has Canelo done to deserve that fight?

SOME PBF fans would love him for that fight but I will not support such BS!

Exactly. I don't want to see this below 154.

And I respect that. But there are fans of his like Dunn & a few others that have already defended the fight. Calling the event big. Sure it might make them loads of money but any Floyd fan that has their loyalties tied more to the sport than just 1 guy knows that fight is complete & utter nonsense & a total disrespect to anything respectable about the sport.
