Matinez at 147 is an F-Mayweather vs. Martinez at 154: A
Mayweather vs. Martinez at 150: B-
Mayweather vs. Martinez at 147: C-
Same goes for Manny. This won't happen. I have a hard time believing Floyd would actually fight Sergio at 150, after he's talked crap about Manny's CW fights. I am now convinced, Mayweather-Martinez won't happen. And like I said from day one, Floyd and Manny shouldn't feel an obligation to fight him. Yes, it would enhance their legacies greatly, but he's still a Middleweight and they are still small Welterweights.Comment

Let's assume that Floyd's 154lb titile is not on the line. Then, if Sergio wants to fight Floyd badly (for the paycheck or whatever), he is the one to come down to Floyd's weight. That's the sacrifice he needs to make to get the fight. Why should Floyd bloat himself up and give Sergio the advantage? The fact that Floyd has fought at 154 before is immaterial - it really depends on who the opponent is. He may agree to take on certain opponents at 154 but not others. It all depends on his assessment of the opponent's skills and fight night weight. At the 154 weight limit Floyd usually re-hydrates to about 149 while fighting opponents that re-hydrate to 165 (e.g. Cotto). Who knows what Sergio might re-hydrate to on fight night. How is it fair to Floyd to be fighting someone at possibly 20lb weight disadvantage? Now, if it was Floyd that wants to fight Sergio badly, then Floyd should fight Sergio at Sergio's weight. That's the sacrifice he needs to make to get the fight. And if they equally want to fight each other then they should both agree to a catch weight so that no one has undue advantage weight-wise.
If, however, they are fighting for Floyd's 154lb title, then the fight should be at 154, no catch weight.Comment
