getting a decision isn't the same as beating some one.

really ? what are you implying exactly here ?

he flip flops and goes full flown senile....claiming the fight could've gone either way and that I had said Khan was robbed LOL

all you said leads to believe one thing : you imply Khan was robbed indeed and should have won

therefore, Rubbensonny is right in his assumptions

I said he didn't even beat Khan and in my following post I said
getting a decision isn't the same as beating someone. Having a close fight which can be made a case for either boxer deserving the nod doesn't constitute as beating someone to me...

He replied to my post with

It could've been scored either way, Khan wasn't robbed now STFU, you're a know-nothing piece of ****
which is a flip flop from his initial post where he said I was wrong in thinking that Peterson hadn't deceively beat Khan and thus was unworthy of a fight with Pacquiao.
I never claimed he was robbed, a close decision isn't a robbery.

after he misinterprets what I said he post

    you're a know-nothing piece of ****
I come into this thread give my opinion he response again with another attack..

and this is me owning myself? lol wtf

Why are people mad at Skip? LOL I agree with him. I've always thought Ali would beat Tyson for the things Skip mentioned, Boxing skills, reach, size. Tyson and Frazier as well, though can be compared, were two different fighters, and based on Mike's overall career, I'd go as far as to say Frazier might've been tougher than Mike too. It's true, Mike didn't have world beaters to choose from and his career did take a downward spiral after the Douglas loss. But if you watch the fights Mike did lose from there, it wasn't that much different than the Douglas loss (as far as strategy). Ali IMO would frustrate Mike and he'd end up walking into a shot thus dropping him.

i think ali would beat tyson pretty soundly, and i also think joe frazier would beat tyson too, no shame in those two names being mentioned over tysons. boxing is pretty subjective anyway, its basically all opinion unless they square off.

I think Tyson has somewhat of a chance against a 70's Ali. Albeit a very slim one.

So based on style I'd personally say Tyson doesn't have the worst chance. But always a slim one none the less.
I was saying that the only fighters Tyson would have less chance again would be Liston and Foreman.

-the fact that Frazier would use his bob and weave style to get closer while Ali would be punching at a low target, and then ****, Frazier would come from underneath with a big left hook

it was ridiculous the number of times Frazier had Ali falling for it

Tyson could do that to great effect too, get low, move the head and come up from underneath with a hard left hook when his opponent was busy punching in combos trying to get to Tyson's head while leaving himself wide open

I personnaly believe a prime Ali would be too mobile and elusive for Tyson to win, but Tyson had a puncher chance, and the head movement he showed in his prime would puzzle Ali for sure

with that said, I believe Ali's assets would cause more problems to Tyson then the other way around, I think Ali would have stopped Tyson in 8 or 9
Personally, I think Fraziers head movement was superb and definitely superior to Tysons. I base this on Fraziers successful application of it in fights against much better fighters than Tyson. Also complimenting Fraziers excellent heaqd movement is his superior footwork (probably his most underrated asset, though it should be noted that Tyson also had great footwork). I think Tysons head movement was more a flash than substance, he actually had a lot of trouble with good jabs (especially quick ones), just have a look at the Larry Holmes or James Tillis fights, I honestly can't picture Ali having much trouble landing his own excellent jab.

IMO I just can't see Tyson winning this, not in the sense of him being shut-out or KO'ed early. I just don't think any heavyweight would KO Ali and I think Tyson gives up mentally after he realises Ali is not scared or relenting.

                Okay forget the attacks.

There was plenty of ideas to debate, you just ignored them.

Ali would obliterate Tyson. Skip got the 3 rounds part wrong, but he was right that the question is a joke.

Ahh, yes. I read that wrong.

                      I agree, I'd have Ali 3rd aswell.

I just can't see Tyson beats him. He's not going to stop him, no one's going to stop a prime Ali or even post Prison Ali.

And he's obviously not going to outpoint him.

And against a 60's Ali he'd become immensely frustrated by Round 4 when he can't land anything.

There's just no way. I usually say outside of a good shot, and as hard as Tyson hits added to that, but, even if he lands the hardest punch he ever threw he's still not going to take Ali out.

His chin was a gift from the God's.
