The vast majority of articles in boxing magazines such as The Ring, and in newspapers, blamed both fighters - with, if anything, more of the blame going to Mayweather than to Pacquiao - not for the demands he made but for the insulting and unsubstantiated allegations of cheating, which anyone who had any knowledge of Pacquiao's track record in negotiations with De La Hoya, Hatton, Cotto and others would have predicted - and indeed did predict before the walk out happened - would inevitably lead to Pacquiao walking out unless the allegations were unequivocally withdrawn.
