the article makes common sense! but the way i understood arum is he wanted to outsorce the venue and gate to an outside investor for an extra $20 mil. guarantee for each fighter.... in that case ticket price isn't really that important anymore.

So basically you believe that someone would want to put up the money in order to lose money?
I grew up in Vegas and if Arum is being sincere, which I completely doubt, then I would say do the stadium and make things fresh and exciting for the average fan who wants to go to the live event instead of the satellite locations at other casinos. I'm sure the stadium would sell out, plus they would probably fill up the satellite locations as well...plus get their 3 million ppv buys.
It would make the event seem even bigger, more money would be made, more fans could see the fight live, and Las Vegas would get even more people to travel to their city to spend money at their casinos and so forth.
The only problem is that Arum is full of **** and he's using this stadium as his excuse...or so it seems. Things have been pretty quiet the last few days and who knows what they are all doing right now. I haven't completely written this fight off for May yet.
I say that and any minute there will probably be some new BS report or excuse as to why this fight isnt going to happen...60, 59, 58, 57, 56, ....
Didn't someone make this argument in a NSB thread?
yup...I can't remember which poster it was but as I was reading the article it sounded familiar....like I've said many times, some cats on here know their stuff
