of course it will be good for him(who wouldnt want to avenge there loss?) but I'd rather him not take it. At least not right now. Fighting Pacquiao means he will probably be getting into another contract and they will probably pick his next 4-5 fights again. We will never see Floyd-Cotto, Alvarez-Cotto, Cotto-Kirkland or Martinez -Cotto while being under top rank. Instead, we will get Cotto-Pacquiao, Cotto-Vanes, Cotto-Chavez jr and probably Cotto-margarito III. Thats all I'm saying.

Its clear that Arum needs Pacquiao to destroy another name in another catchweight trap for the fight to come close to what it once was. It will never be the same but as of now theres no drama left.

The writing on the wall sez that Floyd would probably counter Pac to death. If he can lure Cotto into draining down again and beats him up Team Pacquiao gets high on him again.

Hopefully Cotto comes with a decent plan this time and Arum's plan backfires.

Turn of events?? Everyone knows Arum and Pac were going to select a backup. Doesn't see to be any reason Pac can't fight Mayweather on the 5th and doesn't seem to be any reason Mayweather can't fight Pac late May. What has Mayweather said about all this in the last few days?? Nothing. So lets wait and see what he says.

Pacquiao camp says he won't fight Mayweather in May despite Twitter challenge

Manny Pacquiao's camp says there is no economic sense in setting up a bout with Floyd Mayweather on May 5 after the unbeaten American publicly challenged the Filipino champion via Twitter.

If Pac the cowardly ***g*t had "selected" to fight Mayweather, there would be no reason to stay quiet.

These cowardly ***g*ts want to wait until Floyd is forced to select someone else do to the cowardly ducking and disgrace that Pac is.... AND then come out and name the opponent.

Some one needs to explain to me the economics of this fight. Atlas said the same thing, Eaner made a good point as well. Who gets what of what?
