Nothing would please me more than seeing Mayweather take Pacquiao out, but to call Pacquiao a "bum", "hypejob", or any derogatory is a HUGE stretch.

If Pacquiao were a bum, he wouldn't have taken out De la Hoya, Hatton, and Cotto by KO/TKO back-to-back-to-back in UNDER a year.

And to the threadstarter, I'm sure Naazim KNOWS how to fight Pacquiao and has the plan to beat him, it's just Mosley, for one reason or another, couldn't execute it (perhaps age, Pacquiao's punching power, speed, had something to do with it?).

We'll see how many boxing fans are left if Pacquiao loses. I've said it before and I'll say it again. It doesn't matter when Floyd fights Pacquiao now, people will already have the excuse lined up that Floyd waited for Pacquiao to get old, etc, etc.

It seems as though Manny has chosen Cotto as his next opponent, if this is true then he has picked the one name that, imo, he has the best chance to beat. Cotto is a great fighter but his style is very suited for Manny to look great with. Still, Cotto has a great chance to beat Pac if he makes adjustments.

That was the same Pacquiao that fought Marquez in the 3rd fight, Marquez just has the experience of being in with Pacquiao, Cotto didn't. Pacquiao had the element of surprise. Watch how he times Cotto and Marquez with his straight lefts and right hooks, the same. He also hasn't lost any explosiveness in his legs.

People are acting as if Pacquiao has slipped so drastically, it's crazy. No, Manny is NOT in his prime anymore, neither is Floyd.

I'd say the last fight where I would consider Manny prime was Cotto in 09'. The last fight where I would have considered Floyd prime was Hatton in 07'.

Both are past their primes-still good, still the top fighters in the world. Sort of like how Leonard and Hagler were in 87'. Hagler was not in his absolute prime, but he was still good. And Ray was coming off layoffs and was not in his prime, but he was still good. Both were top fighters in the world, along with a few others at the time.

Mayweather-Pacquiao is STILL the fight, and it's still monumental for both of their legacies. Pacquiao needs to step up and accept May 5th, but it sounds like he won't.

This is the very reason why Floyd wants the fight right away, he wants to get this big win for his legacy. He wants to be the first to beat the welterweight pac. This is also the very reason Arum doesnt want the fight to happen. Arum wants Pac to lose to a top rank fighter. So basically, this is all about Arum vs Floyd to be honest, its not even a question about who would win the fight, its about if Arum will lose to Floyd by letting him capture the big win over the once thought to be unstoppable Pacman.

blue print to beat Pacman was invented by JMM and executed perfectly by Morales. Nasim richardson did nothing.

I can definitely see this happening. I still got to favor Pac, but Cotto is not the same fighter he was in the first fight. To many people try to discredit fighters just to try and justify thier obsession with their favorite fighter that they feel the need to always defend. Cotto is still a top fighter and always has been elite. I think Cotto would have just a good a shot at stopping Pac in the late rounds. Not saying i want this for Manny's next fight, but for anyone to use the pathetic ****** "damaged goods" argument is just a hater, a wannabe counselor, and a dumbass.
