Comments Thread For: Tomasz Adamek is Open To Facing Alexander Povetkin

Former two division world champion Tomasz Adamak (44-2, 28KOs) is open to facing WBA "regular" heavyweight champion Alexander Povetkin (23-0, 16KOs) in the summer, according to comments made to the Polish Times by manager the Polish star's manager Ziggy Rozalski. Adamek, who last saw action when in a nine round TKO loss to WBC champion Vitali Klitschko in September, will take a tuneup fight in the month of March. On the other hand, Povetkin will defend his title on February 25th against WBO cruiserweight champion Marco Huck (34-1, 25KOs) in Stuttgart, Germany.

That "belt" in Povetkin's possession is about as equally worthless as a regional title.

Moot point anyway, because he has slim to no chance at beating Povetkin.

adamek has a better chance against povetkin than either klitschko.

He has no chance against either. Adamek is basically like a smaller, weaker version of Povetkin..... He would get crushed.

He gets beat by anybody in the upper half of the top 5, except for Dimitrenko of course. And that's a sad sack of shit of a division when you gotta clown like Dimitrenko in the top 5.
