According to recent interview with ESPN.com, trainer Freddie Roach selected Lamont Peterson as the top pick on his list for Manny Pacquiao. Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum is meeting with Pacquiao to select an opponent for late-May or early June. Among the four selections, Roach has Peterson at the top of his list, followed by Timothy Bradley, Miguel Cotto and then Juan Manuel Marquez.

peterson got beaten by bradley, drew with ortiz and beat khan. if you rate floyd- ortiz as a good fight, then pac-peterson is not much worse off. peterson beat bradley in the race and took khan's scalp FACT.

Pacquiao's legacy is set. It'll be awhile until another FW champ comes along and do what he is doing.

First off, in the history of boxing there has never been a guy who was 105-pounds that beat a motherf**ker 145-pounds, 135-pounds, 147-pounds, 150-pounds.

I completely disagree. Bradley is a much better fighter, no question, and yet Pac is choosing Peterson?

Ortiz was the third best welter on the planet, Peterson has never fought at 147.

Clearly Ortiz was killing himself to make 140, he is a much better fighter at welter. I cant believe how many people will judge a guy when he is clearly not fighting at his best weight, and Ortiz won that fight imo. He beat Peterson at his worst weight, and would KHTFO at welter.

Ortiz at 140, is like Khan at LW, Vic would knock Peterson TFO at 147.

The point is, Peterson is the very worst of Pacquiao's 5 available opponents.

Come on man, Pac said that Ortiz was "too green", but he will fight Peterson? Pac needs an opponent that he can hit, surely you can see whats up?
