Can Lamont replicate his performance is the more pertinent question. I thought Khan was the clear victor. Close but clear. And it was Lamont's best performance of his career....

go ahead and fight Peterson Again!

Khan is not going to make it past that fight IMO, I think Peterson beats him again but just like Mares did to Agbeko...this time he does it without any controversy...thec Khan will use the excuse that "I Had Troubles Making 140 That Is Why I Struggled With Peterson"

Golden Boy Promotions is no different then Top Rank...in some aspects they might actually be even worse...all this b!tching and crying to overturn decision is a JOKE! Let Khan get in the ring and WIN HIS TITLE BACK and let him prove if that 1st Match was a FLUKE OR NOT but he don't want that, they want this OVERRATED dude to be a star so BAD that they will just make excuses for him every time he lose or every time he look bad in a fight

as for fighting Mayweather...hahahaha Mayweather is not even known for his Power now, but with his accurate punches...he would KO Khan Late just like he did Hatton

I don't think Khan has any obligation to rematch Maidana, he beat him, end of story, no matter how close and as champion he has no need to do it again.

Prescott maybe, but that guy hasn't done himself any favours since, he hasn't proven himself worthy of a rematch.

On to this situation, I feel Peterson won the fight, with or without the deductions, and as the losing champion, in any situation he has a right to a rematch, as has been the done thing in boxing. He does on the other hand need to watch the 1st fight for the action inside the ring, not outside. Let his lawyers handle the 'mystery man' fiasco and he concentrate on improving himself...

THAT will win him the rematch..

Glad to see that loss hasn't changed you one bit lol, still actin like a spoiled and entitled child. Khan, you need to accept the fact that your style has flaws, all Peterson did was take advantage of them lol. If i remember correctly, your team was calling for a KO the first time, and look what happened, you got embarrassed and out-gutted. Stop tryin to make Peterson look bad, cuz he was willing to give you the rematch until you started actin like a damn fool.

Didn't Khan say he was gonna take a tune-up fight at 147 before fighting Mayweather? This dude is turnin into a ****in joke like Pac. There's no way this guy should be allowed to leap-frog the entire 140 and 147 divisions because he feels like it. You haven't even fought Bradley yet.

Lol @ people saying LP will knock Khan out, in the first fight only one guy was down and only one guy was hurt and that was LP. Khan wins the rematch and I'd put my points were my mouth is! Lamont knows it as well, otherwise he would never have turned down 1M plus after earning 10K in the fight before khan!

I wonder how much money GBP paid the WBA to order a rematch. It is all premature when you consider the IBF have a hearing next week and they have not heard what Ameen as to say. Surely the WBA should have waited until after the hearing to make a decision but they have jumped the gun so that if Ameen is proven clean Khan gets his rematch anyway with no fuss. There is no doubt in my mind that there is REAL corruption going on here.
The IBF have been shoddy and UNPROFESSIONAL with the man in the hat "mystery" man (we now know he was NEVER a mystery to Freddie Roach but a you can see Khan continues to milk that line) but I very much doubt that there was real corruption going on just ineptitude.
I am certain GBP have paid off the WBA to come to this decision just as they were paid off to relax the mandatory rules which enabled Khan to duck Maidana for ages. I notice poor victim Khan never gave Maidana a rematch and there was no question Cortez was giving him a helping hand.
My guess is there will be no rematch as any offer Team Khan make will most likely be on the previous terms $650,000 to Peterson. He will find that unacceptable most likely keep the IBF title and then we will hear no end of Khrap coming out of Team Khan that Peterson is ducking and fightened and knows he lost the first fight. The sad truth that many of the blind fans and the UK joke media will buy into this spin.
I was a Khan fan but always thought Team Khan were a bunch of Khunts. After these latest stunts and after watching that video and the propaganda coming out of Khan's mouth I can no longer respect him as a man he is the Tony Blair of boxing. How can he expect us to believe that he is a viable opponent for Mayweather after his last showing? Did the man in the hat make him run backwards all night and make him look a joke? Did Cooper make him hold and push? Peterson is not that good. Khan got showed up regardess of whether you thought he won or lost. Khan needs to work on his deficiencies not perfect what he is already World Champion at TALKING LOADS OF BULLSCHIT AND KHRAP. He is living in a delusional Alice In Wonderland World but that is not good enough for him he wants the rest of us to live in la la land with him. Sorry I am not up for that Khrap and live in the real world.

Why does Khan think that he still has his 'up-and-coming-star' status? Take away the pushing, knockdowns, leading in with the head, and what have you, take a look at Khan's performance.

                    - Amir never dominated the fight
                    - Showed weakness inside the pocket
                    - The inability to adjust in the fight
                    - Being penalized twice for the SAME foul
                    - Ran from Peterson

Those aren't what I call qualities of an up and coming star. Khan needs to work himself back up from this last performance. Anything less then a spectacular knockout isn't going to redeem Khan. Lamont on the other hand:

                    - Never dominated but dogged Khan, which is a crowd pleaser
                    - Dominated the pocket
                    - Adjusted in the fight
                    - Never got discouraged from the 1st round knockdowns

Not the qualities of an up and coming star but definitely qualities fans and promoters should be looking for in a money making fighter. With such a performance I think Khan, the WBA, IBF, and the rest of the professional boxing world should give Lamont a lot more credit then he is given.

Khan will not KO Peterson(not even in his dreams),Peterson is one of the most mentally tough young fighters fighting today..I really can't believe this kid has not learned his lesson yet, still talking about Mayweather huh..I've yet to hear him say I need to get back into the gym and work on my flaws(which are very glaring I might add)...Very telling imo about Khan as a fighter..

I don't care if ya thought Khan won or not,Khan clearly did not dominate that fight..I truly doubt he dominates the rematch,I pretty much see the same fight taking place..
