Chavez, besides being a big, risky fighter, is also not regarded too highly, so even if Cotto does win will he get any credit for it? That would be a big problem. If things happen the way a boxing fan would want it, we'll see: Floyd vs. Pac, Chavez vs. Martinez, and Cotto vs. Canelo. Great matchups, I don't see why Pac and TR are being such ******* now about fighting Floyd. Man up MANNY!!!
        I love this line-up

          mayweather the great pretender

MAYWEATHER is a hype job. I don't know how he has gotten away with it for so long. He hasn't fought Cotto, Margarito, Paul Williams, manny pacman or any of the real killers within that division. The only way he fights them is when they have all beaten the ish out of each other. Come on , he fights Victor Ortiz, Marquez, Hatton, Gatti. What a joke

Love Cotto, but I'm of the opinion he possibly loses all these fights. Canelo being the most winnable....and Chavez Jr being the most dangerous to his legacy. Losing or potentially being TKO'ed by JR at this point in his young career would hurt Cotto's legacy badly. Not many respect JR inside the sport and Miguel only stands to lose credibility if he loses - can you picture the endless amount of jokes?

Canelo is more respected, a 154lb'er, and is just as popular or more than JR. He's got a nice style but is still pretty flat footed at this point - this would be a good, competitve fight that ends up looking a little Cotto/Clottey but more of a slug fest because Canelo will be looking to counterpunch as well, but without shelling up in between like Clottey does.

and Floyd, well there is always something to be said for putting the biggest names in the ring together regardless of where they are. Nobody is gonna hate on Cotto for losing this if he does, he will always fight hard....and I can't believe I will say this.... in some ways, it's more winnable than a Chavez Jr fight for him....even if you think JR sux and would be easy work...with Floyd, the stakes are higher and you ultimately get more out of your potential win, look at it that way.

He should take the Floyd fight is offered, otherwise Canelo.

i pretty much agree with everything u said, except with the canelo part. i think cotto beats canelo, cotto has far better technique than canelo and he's quicker with his hands and his feet, plus i think canelo's defense is pretty bad and he's been in with soft opposition, the biggest name canelo fought is cintron, and he's washed up

cotto's been in wars too, so u know he's tested and he's tough, even if he might be a lil shop warn at this point in his career, we don't know how canelo will react if he's in trouble....bottom line, when u weigh in cotto's ring experience along with his technical skills and the fact that he has some pop in his gloves, i can't see canelo winning

i dont really know anything about chavez, so i can't say anything about him, but as for floyd, definitely take that fight for sure

Cotto should stay away from Canelo and Pac. The 2 Jr's are more winnable. Cotto doesn't have the stamina to keep up with Canelo and Pac, if he runs out of gas, those two will beat him up to submission while Floyd and Julio are not too aggressive, their style will favor Cotto's aggression. Canelo TKO'd Cintron, a very athletic guy. Just can't rule Canelo as an easy fight.

Dude are you serious? Cintron looked like an amateur in that fight and still had Canelo in trouble. Canelo is not that good and is not a legit champion. Margarito right now would cause a big problem for Canelo. Cotto destroys this little kid.
