Cotto is a big name, has exorcized his demons and although well past his best, is still formidable, has taken on the best opponent available more often than not and dammit is one of the sport's few good guys. Margarito may have been shot but it took a lot for Cotto to face that demon and he deserves to be commended. He wouldn't be my preference but if the fight we all want doesn't occur, Miguel Cotto isn't a bad consolation prize.
I agree that Cotto is past his prime, but as you said, him exorcizing the demons, we may no longer see constant flash backs of Cotto-Margarito I every time Cotto faces a tiny bit of adversity. I think counting Cotto out is overrating Paquiao's skills again.

martinez, pac or jail....these are the only real options for floyd......cotto won't do anything for floyd but bring in more annoying *******s discrediting the fight.

I dont understand a couple of these pictures. Hatton was coming off a solid win against Malignaggi where he battered Malignaggi and TKO'd him. So how was he never the same mentally? And Cotto was coming off a win against Clottey and weighed only 1 pound less in the Pacquiao fight then he was in the Clottey fight.
I agree with all the others though.
