I can see Hearn's point about bargaining power, but I don't like for Froch to go to Canada for the first fight.

Sure Bute's got an alphabet belt, but he really needs a credible opponent. Hearn should be aware that Interbox has little options aside from Froch: They cannot get Ward and Mikkel Kessler has a fight coming up. That leaves Froch as the ONLY credible opponent.

Will Interbox risk letting Bute face another clubfighter? I think not. They'll catch hell and Bute would be the laughingstock of boxing.

So go hard for the first fight to be in Nottingham. Froch certainly has deserved it.

Looking forward to this one, Bute is the champion and the #2 SMW so it makes sense for Froch to go to Canada. Why not? If you put on a good show, like I'm sure they will, he will be revered, just like Hopkins was.

I would say that if this deal gets struck there is maybe a 20% chance, at best, of seeing Bute fighting in Nottingham down the road.

If he has to he will fake an injury and wait for Froch to move on.

Hearn's got a point though, Bute is the champion. If the challenger wants it, he should go get it, not the other way around, no one is forcing Carl to fight Bute. He could easily wait for Kessler in the summer, but he wants the Bute fight.

Yeah, man, Ward sucks. Just watch the replay of his fight on Dec. 17th and you can clearly see he's a scared fighter that will never take a risk and he's crap compared to other Super Middleweights! it's OBVIOUS!!

someone needs to learn to read and stop getting so sensitive when something negative is said about their favourite boxer.
