That was a rumor.
Add Guerrero to the list of Spadafora, Hatton, Malinaggi, Morales, etc.
Schaefer confirmed that Guerrero will not be fighting Mayweather.

so much for floyd ducking them! they have to try to set aside offers from other boxers? they are trying to get investors? pacs cut needs 6months to heal? pac was ready to fight in may when they thought floyd was going to jail. but NOW, they need more time for pacs cut to heal? the dr that performed the surgery on pac is dating arum dtr? pac said the cut is healed and fine? which excuse will you believe when top stank ducks and run from this fight AGAIN? roach said many times that if pac is not careful, floyd will ko him? top stank, ducking floyd is an art form.Comment

TA:Manny, welcome to our second edition of "The Decision".
MP: Thank you for having me, Teddy.
TA: Over the past two-three years fans have been wanting to see you fight Floyd Mayweather. Do you still want that fight to happen before you retire from the sport of Boxing?
MP: Yes, I do want that fight to happen. It's a fight the fans wants to see happen.
TA: Is Floyd Mayweather the opponent that you've decided to fight?
MP: No. My promoter [Bob Arum] told me Floyd Mayweather doesn't want the fight in late May or June 9.
TA: What about the original May 5th date that your promoter said was a possible option if you were to have your fourth bout against longtime rival, Juan Manuel Márquez?
MP: Ahh...My promoter wasn't serious about that date.
TA: Manny, you said the cut above your eye is now healed. Why won't you fight Floyd in May 5th at MGM Grand?
MP: Ahh....My promoter said the MGM Grand isn't big enough for the fight to take place there.
TA: I understand. Have you decide on who your next opponent is going to be?
MP: Yes, Teddy. I have made my decision.
TA: So Manny, what's your decision?
MP: Ahh...[*sweating]..I have decided to fight Miguel Cotto in June 9th.
TA:[Disbelief expression*]: When did you decided to fight Cotto?
MP: I made my decision this morning after a short chat with my promoter, Bob Arum. He convinced me that Cotto was the best opponent available.
TA: But you've already beaten Cotto so convincingly. Why is this fight so important to you and how much would it enhance your legacy at this point?
MP: Ahh...It's going to be a great entertaining fight because Cotto like to fight toe to toe. Cotto is bigger than me.
TA: [Facepalm*] Well Manny, good luck to you on facing Miguel Cotto. We hope to see more fights from you in the future.

I agree with you 100%. Anyone saying "this is an easy fight for Pacquiao" is just not living in reality. This is a much, much tougher fight for Pacquiao then for Mayweather. I still think it's a winnable fight for Pacquiao but at least I know the possibilities.Comment

Haaaa!! Isn't that the truth! It's comical really. Not to sound like a broken record but Arum's been stopping this forever. Floyd controls his own career, Pac does not. Arum is protecting his investment period. I'm guessing Mayweather ends up fighting Cotto on May 5th. I'm sure that would make Arum real happy, since Cotto doesn't promote him any longer. Just sad isn't it.....now that college football playoff you mentioned.Comment
