Exactly. If the issue was " revenue" why would they consider a fight for less money?Comment

"they're going to figure out of they can set aside offers to fight other boxers in order to fight mayweather"
what this means?Comment

As much as i think everyone wants this fight.....from a dollar perspective, having it May 5th just doesn't make sense. 3 months of getting promos going, and bringing all together on the fly....it just might not have the same build up. Remember, for us true fans, we need no build up, but for the casual fan that watches 1 maybe 2 fights a year, thats the audience that might not be as excited had a full fledged tour taken/takes place.
In a perfect world, Pac and Floyd say....screw the promo, lets just do it (which i think they want), but to think that money will NOT play a role from promoting such a huge event is just crazy. So all this talk of "im here waiting, lets do it already",could very well end up being just hot air. This event will make so much money, that even money lost from poor promoting could cost both sides millions.
I hope im wrong, and for the good of the sport, they put the fans first for once.Comment

You're an idiot
You're an idiot that believes everything that comes out of the mouths of Pacquiao and everybody associated with him. I like both fighters. That means I like Pacquiao and, yes I admit this, I like Mayweather. Why don't you read some real journalism instead of trolling on here pretending like you know what you're talking about. I do consider this article real journalism incidentally but I don't believe everything that Freddie Roach says. I take it with a grain of salt. I also take everything that Arum, Mayweather and anyone associated with Golden Boy says with a grain of salt. But let's just look at the facts. Plain and simply when Arum heard that Mayweather was going to jail, Pacquiao was ready to fight May 5 and take Mayweather's place. As soon as Mayweather wasn't going to jail, suddenly Pacquiao needs time to heal his cuts. Convenient? A little too convenient actually. If everybody who is a "*******" or a "*****" (****** names by the way) would take their blinders off, they'd see the real problem. The problem isn't Pacquiao and isn't Mayweather. It's greedy Bob Arum.Comment
