The problem is that they don't follow boxing like they do baseball, basketball, or football. With those sports, every trade, every injury, every word, every breath is analyzed verbatim by their sports analysts and sportscasters.
Unfortunately, boxing doesn't bring in the same money that the big three sports do, so they don't follow the ins and outs of the sport. If they actually did, they would see that Team Pacquiao is the one not following through on the big fight.
The only people who should have a say in boxing at ESPN are the people who look over Friday Night Fights. At least they follow the ins and outs of the sport.
This^^^^ It's obvious people like Wilbon and Bayless don't truly follow the sport.
Everytime wilbon talks boxing,I'm left scratching my head. And he claims
to be a big boxing fan.Idk about that guy.
He says he's a big boxing fan to sound creditable. A ton of people do this. They use it as a front and then they talk like a fool but because they are a "big fan" people that aren't fans think that what the guy is saying must be true, since he's a "big fan".
All the *****s in here are just mad that Wilbon is talking the truth he is one of the few brothas who is tired of Floyd's BS. Also I loved the part when Wilbon said after Pacquiao KO Mayweather Tony could help Floyd by dragging him into his jail cell.
But at the same time, Mayweather fans for the most part hate Dan Rafael because of the backlash he's given Floyd over the years. Yet today, being he put the blame on Arum and Pac for the fight not happening, all of a sudden he's a great guy again. I'm sure Wilbon won't be any different if that occurred similarly.
But...as it stands, as far as I can see, the ball's in TR and Pac's court to either call Floyd's bluff, or actually make the fight a reality. Things should get interesting in the next couple days.
