Even if Tszyu was past his prime, Power is the last thing to go. Speed and Reflexes are the first. Hatton took Tszyu's punches. The Hatton that fought Tszyu is not the same Hatton that fought Mayweather, and definitely not the same Hatton that fought Manny.

If you're going to **** on Ricky Hatton, at least know what you're talking about.

Neither ducked the other. Not sure where this is coming from.

Floys caught Hats with a perfect shot. And he hits a lot harder than people give him credit for. He hurt Mosley as well.

        Hatton was great at 140.

Cotto was really good at 147.

Who knows what could have happened, but if the fight happened at 140, I think the pressure of Hatton would get to Cotto. Hatton doesn't get any love for his boxing skills. Watch him fight Ben Takie and Urango. He displayed wonderfull boxing skills.

If the fight happened at 147, Cotto might have taken it. By the time Cotto reached 147, and after Hatton beat Tszyu, Hatton showed problems at 147.... But it's a fight that should have happened.
Collazo, won atleast 8 rounds in that fight.

        Hatton was never great!

Cotto was stronger, faster and more powerful, Hattons suppose pressure would be his undoing!! Cotto KHTFO

Well we can credit that to Bob Arum. On 6-25-05 in ACNJ it was Mayweather vs Gatti for the WBC Super Lightweight Champion. There were 3 different undefeated fighters in attendence. Floyd Cotto and Hatton. Floyd and Cotto never fought and nor did Cotto and Hatton. We can thank Bob Arum for that just like we can thank him for stalling Lopez-Gamboa. That fight will never have the buzz it had because Lopez has already taken a loss. Bob Arum is bad for boxing and along as he's around us fans will be missing out on some really good fights. SMH.

Difference in opinion. I don't have him losing 8 rounds to Collazo. And, like I said, He has a 10 8 round in that fight.

And he was great at 140. His resume wasn't that great, but he was. He made Tszyu quit and he broke Castillo's ribs. He KOed Mauser a round faster than Cotto. He out boxed Urango, Ben Tackie.

For a little dude, he was an exciting Junior Welterweight to Fight. When I say he was great, I don't mean HOF... I mean he was GREAT to watch.

              Cotto Wants Hatton.
By Boxing Press December 17th, 2004 All Boxing News
Reports from Bob Arum and Top Rank Promotions indicate that they are more than willing to send WBO light welterweight champion Miguel Cotto to Manchester, England to fight fellow undefeated fighter Ricky Hatton. Manchester's Hatton recently became the first man to stop veteran Ray Oliveira and his place as the IBF mandatory challenger to champion Kostya Tszyu is assured. However,

Tszyu remains adamant that a fight will not occur anytime soon between the two and this latest revelation from Top Rank might offer Frank Warren and Hatton an opportunity to steal the limelight from Tszyu by taking on Cotto who has been the standout fighter of all the 2000 Olympians.
Stay tuned for more on this story as it develops.

Gotta love the Cotto huggers. Cotto can't be beaten in any division and the ones that he does lose to, they have an excuse.

Judah would not have been Cotto's most dangerous foe to date had Trampler found a way to get Ricky Hatton into the ring. Trampler revealed for the first time that Top Rank had been trying to make a Hatton-Cotto fight happen at junior welterweight.

"For the last two years, Cotto has been willing to fight Floyd Mayweather and Ricky Hatton at what ever weight," Trampler said. "Get this straight: Cotto ducks nobody. Here's a scoop for you: there were numerous discussions with the Hatton people, but Ricky went up to 147 and then came back down. Miguel is staying at welterweight. But Hatton knows where to find Cotto when he wants to get it on. Floyd is the most skilled boxer in the world, an immensely talented athlete, but he won't beat Miguel Cotto."

Cotto was also very chiney at 140. There's no doubt that Cotto has some beautiful boxing. But there are more factors involved. On paper, @ 140, I think Hatton wins. @147, different story. It's Left Hook to the Body vs Left Hook to the body.. that's what I love about this fight.

Frank Warren didn't want the fight. Too big a risk because Hatton was his cash cow at the time. Warren doesn't put his best fighters in the ring with threats.

Before anyone mentions Tszyu, he was at the right place at the right time for Hatton. Cotto was a bigger threat to Hatton at that time then Tszyo was.

Uncle Frank was a clever ****
