I disagree. Boxing is a sporting event, not the gladiatorial games. Brothers have competed against each other in different sports since forever. It wouldn't even be unprecedented in boxing and would be a huge event between the divisions 2 best fighters.

Amen to that, Jab. Maybe if Haye hadn't put up a ****ty performance against Wlad then I would want to see this fight, but he did and I wouldn't expect him to do anymore against Vitali. The Klitschko's fighting each other is the only real fight at HW, and they have always said they would never fight each other so we know it will never happen. Even if they did, they are so close I bet neither of them would go 100% and we wouldn't get to see the real fight that could take place between the two.

        (a) It is almost unheard of for brothers to compete for money in a sport in which your aim is to knock your opponent out.

        (b) These particular brothers are very close - it would be different if they weren't.

This isn't tennis, FFS. This is a sport in which you are trying to knock your opponent out - and in which brain damage as a consequence is not unknown.

I repeat that it would be sick and would bring the sport into disrepute.

I don't see how anyone with any genuine compassion could want it to happen, and it won't happen, for all the right reasons. There are more important things in life than sport, and ordinary human compassion is one of them.
