Will you give Rios credit if he beats Gamboa ???????

I won't give Rio any credit if he beats Gamboa . the facts is that Gamboa is two weight class lower then Rios. On top of that Rios is a huge 135lb that come in 155 on fight night. Gamboa weight in on fight night at 140.

As taste this fight sounds it doesn't make much sense to me. I see that top rank try to cash out Gambo he doesn't sell well and a major threat to Mickey Gracia.

Doesn't it matter lol Gamboa is a freaking feather weight the only way this fight makes some sense if they fought at 130. In which it won't make any real sense consdering Rios is weight drained at 135

shame on Rios. he is too big and gamboa is a blown up featherweight.

I would give Gamboa huge credit if he pulls it off. I just cant see how Gamboa punches can do damage on against a natural welter.

don't blame Rios, gamboa is the one that's been calling him out. And it's good money.

To answer the question, I'll have to see how the fight goes. Obviously if Rios destroys Gamboa in 1 or 2 rounds the size would have been just too much, however if it's a competitive fight and gamboa doesn't seem completely out of his elemant, I'll give Rios his props.

Remember guys Gamboa has something that Rios doesn't - lightning fast speed. Speed can nullify strength & power. Will it be enough to win, time will tell. But don't count gamboa out completely.

eaner said in a different thread Rios hired a new conditioning coach to watch his eating habits, etc. They feel he can make 135 for this fight (or marquez). Other than that there isn't anyone else at 135 worth fighting and will go to 140.

              135. rios is trying to stay at 135 a little longer so they can probably make that fight. i guess he's going to have to work a little harder to get in better shape to lose those lbs. seems like he shoots up after fights.
i doubt it's that great of a fight tbh, i don't see a lightweight gamboa being or looking as good as he is right now at featherweight. being 30 and 5'5 moving up 2 weight classes to fight a younger man in rios who probably walks around at 150+ is a bit crazy. both are grown men though, if they're up for the challenge then let it be, but if rios blows gamboa out, i don't really see it as that great of a win seeing as he's beating up a smaller guy. it is what it is though, "war gamboa!" if it gets made...

Gamboa needs to have this happen. If he pulls it off, it's such a massive victory.

I don't want to say Rios shouldn't get credit, but it's hard to give him a lot.

It's not like Rios went looking for the fight. Plus if it's at 135 he's gonna be drained as hell. I would love to see him ko that chump.
