Nevermind, my mistake.

I checked Gamboa's wiki and it said he was facing Juarez. But just minutes ago I checked on google and an article declared that the fight was just a rumor.

the funny thing is, whoever the winner is it's a GREAT win for them and at the same time, both those excuses could at least somewhat be legit excuses. I mean if Rios KO's gamboa in two rounds, I think it's safe to say he's probably just too small. If Rios is slow, lacks power and energy, maybe the weight is effecting him. Still an awesome fight though

this is ****** for a couple of reasons:

1. Rios is a bigger name than gamboa and has a bigger fanbase. There is much more potential for Rios becoming a star than there is for gamboa (mexican fan vs cuban fan base isn't even close, sadly).

2. gamboa is the one that is telling bob arum to make the fight, not the other way around.

trust me, bob arum isn't looking at this like "lets make gamboa a star" he's looking at it as a fight two of his guys are asking for and he probably thinks rios will win.

Again, this isn't a fight that Bob Arum had some master plan of making, othrewise you might have a point, this is a fight that Gamboa keeps insisting about and Rios in return has repeatedly accepted. This is truly a case of two guys just wanting to get it on.
