Who do you guys think would be the best coach for Linares? there are great sparring partners at wild card which has to be put into play. he's a super athlete with great movement, technique, fast hands, and a lot of heart. he's a coach's dream. minus his face easily getting cut but supposedly manny cut him in sparring before the fight, so that was a part of it but manny didnt cut him 4 or 5 times though obviously. i'd assume he cuts easy but that was the first linares fight i've seen and i dont know his past history with cuts

I always cringe hearing a guy is in line for a title shot when he's lost his last fight.

      Just doesn't seem right.

Linares would do better with Beristain.

Linares is STILL the truth. He was whooping DeMarco when he got KO'd. It was a great comeback KO win by Antonio, but I would bet my life on Jorge in the rematch. I still think Jorge goes on to be a 3-4 division champion and possibly an ATG.

I am not hopping off the Linares bandwagon.

I think Linares' fighters mentality comes out when he gets hit. He just needs to box more and brawl less.

I mean I would be ok with him rematching Demarco again but no he doesn't deserve a title shot in any shape or form.

exactly this. what bullshit the wbc is pulling by telling demarco he can have one voluntary defense and then must face linares again. i'm sure demarco is down for it but man, that's some bullshit imo. and now he's in line for a vacant belt against a guy who really doesn't deserve to fight for a vacant belt, again, that's pathetic.

                    Why WIN?

Just suffer a KO loss and you'll be in line for a title shot.

Don't want to point fingers, but Roach's fighters have been getting a lot of "lucky breaks" lately.
