Scottie gets dropped early often.. in like 5 fights... and gets up to win, including against Sheika. The thingwith the ref is that he didnt give Scottie a count or anything, he stopped it as soon as he went down. You have to at least CHECK on a guy. Scottie was very alert the whole time, not knocked out etc. And what I am saying about Scottie showing weakness in Lacy early on isn't debatable... people that know boxing on its deepest level can look at fighters and see weakness and vulnerability where others cant. Lacy is avery formidable fighter but you must be crazy if you see him fight and put him on a pound for pound type of level. Jeff Lacy is not an unbeatable guy by any stretch.

The only way Lacy is getting beat is by decision because you know he ain't getting knocked out. But who could take his punches for 12 rounds at the level he is fighting at now? He looks better every fight.

Number one: Jeff Lacy can be KO'd.... look,man...... we are not talking about Jones or Toney at 168 pounds here... Peope love Jeff's style and all, that's cool.....he is a good guy and a very tough fighter who BRINGS IT every time out... but if you think he is indestructable and not vulnerable then you just don't know boxing.

I know he's vulnerable. He definitly has to improve his defense. I just love the way he fights, like you said. How good do you think he can become? I just don't see alot of guys being able to take his pressure for 12 rounds.

Bute is a GOOD FIGTHER, MAN. As far as Lacy-Calzag goes..i think the fight comes about 3 years too late for Joe. But Lacy's 'pressure' etc..... man, there are TOP PROFESSIONAL fighters out there.... Richard Grant didnt train even one day for the fight and he went 12 without much trouble.

I think if Lacy moves up to light-heavy He will pretty much be beaten by the top 5 guys.

The Calzaghe of a couple of years ago would box and counter the Jeff of today but I don't see it happening.

Lacy is very open for counters and I see a good boxer easily beating him with counter shots.

If you laugh it's probably because you never saw I'm. He has incredible potential.

Hey Iceman, good to know the point of view of a pro. I understand better what Russ Anber was saying! I'm the dumb one now

I like Lacy as much as anyone, but he is not unbeatable. Listen to Scully, he knows what he is talking about. Lacy does leave himself open and his power can't save him every time. Still, he IS a top super-middleweight, without a doubt, and if he wants to stay, he could easily be crowned king. However, I do think he has his eyes set on the 175 lb. division in the future.
