    Link to some substantial examples where a routine officer was injured or could not deal with a crime, because he did not have a gun on him then? Go on.

    Armed police are still about and can be at a scene very quickly.

    Some can't fathom this because we just don't have the volume of guns on our streets as America. Where the public can get hold of guns easily you say, no shit sherlock.

      First off, I have family that live in England and have been there 3 times. I speak from experience not based on assumption.

      America has a population that is a little more than 6 times larger than England and the size of this country is much larger. If you take these factors into account, England actually has a higher percentage of crime than America. The main difference is that America has a much higher percentage of crime that is committed by criminals that use handguns.

        Reported crime that is. America is by far worse off when it comes to crime.
