Why don't you read some more...
Manny and arum went to showtime when it was under different control..
With espinoza and haymon running showtime, there is no way arum would attempt something like the shane-manny fight... Totally different circumstances and people involvedComment

2. Im glad you know every detail about manny's HBO contract, do you have a link, or is this one of those internet "facts". Anyone with any common sense knows he is staying wherever bob arum tells him, and bob aint leaving HBO
3. Shane-manny was done in a different political environment then floyd/manny today.. It wasn't espinoza, haymow, etc running showtime.. Since they have taken over, arum isn't going to burn bridges with HBO since he has no long term future with showtime, since haymon and espinoza are in control over there
4. So please take in all information, circumstances, etc before trying to build your defense case for floyd....
5. Tyson-lennox.... Thats all that has to be said... Can you please show me where tyson ever said "it gotta be showtime ppv only"
"HBO's Greenburg stood in the media room after Lewis' win vs. David Tua in November 2000 and preached that a Lewis-Tyson fight was going to be an HBO event ***8212; or it wouldn't happen."
edit: it took YEARS for HBO to agree to co-promote Lewis-Tyson
6. Floyd saying it has to be a showtime ppv, roadblock? Yes or No?Comment

No need to catch feelings Sugar, I like you. But if you're wrong, you're wrong. Now let's begin with your responses:
1. They've done that before so...false.
2. No, I can research for you -- I was skeptical myself but it's a direct quote. Let me know if you find it -- if not, I'll look for you.
3. Has HBO said they would oppose this fight? Let's not assume for them.
4. Cut it out.
5.Completely different scenario -- we can discuss that in further detail separately if you wish.
6. Do you believe Showtime doesn't agree with Floyd? Think about it holistically before you respond.
You know i love you
2. Showtime is much different than it was a few years ago,,, no denying that espinoza and haymon have changed how things work at showtime, very different from when shane and manny had their fight
3. Hbo or showtime would both love to have this fight to themselves, but after 5 years, both just want to make money on it and realize its not going to be a one channel promotion..
4. Everyone involved in the promotions, i.e. trainers, promoters, networks have all expressed interest in working together because they know that there is too much money to be made, both camps have milked their drawing power as much as they can.. Now that floyd and manny are both sliding in ppv buys without a marquee opponent, and both have already fought all the other name guys i.e. canelo, cotto, marquez, shane, hatton, oscar.. they both need each other to break a million plus
5. My whole thing is that for floyd to come out and declare it has to be a showtime only ppv, pretty much is a huge roadblock
6. if bob arum takes manny over to showtime, he basically burns his bridge with HBO, and loses his tv dates for guys like lomachenko, walters, mikey, crawford.. Much like how HBO pulled all the GBP fighters when they took floyd to showtime..
HBO will ban top rank fighters, and will focus its tv dates on GGG, Kovolev, canelo, etc...
7. There is no reason why a co promotion should even be an issue, especially to floyd, as it doesn't effect his paycheck and would actually increase his paycheck as he would have the showtime hype machine, plus the hBO hype machine behind the fight...
There is literally no reason floyd should be opposed to a co promotion, except that he is using it as a roadblockComment

1.. sorry, I'm cranky, late night for my birthday, and had to unlock at work this morning at crack of dawn to let repairman in, so i apologize if I'm cranky..

Maybe espinoza to protect floyd/haymon would do that, but thats why CBS has gotten involved, because these low level business guys in boxing can't seem to get **** done
Top executives don't talk to the media,,, maybe guys that run the divisions, but not top executives.... Thats a mute point... I tend to believe it not just because bob arum (liar) said so, but because every major media outlet has reported the sameComment

I don't care what anyone says.
Which network this fight appears on is a HUGE roadblock. Floyd wants it on Showtime, and Arum wants it on HBO. Floyd is extremely wrong on this issue and he's an childish fool to want it on Showtime.
HBO has a much bigger subscription base and the fight will make more money if it's on HBO. Everyone with a brain knows that this fight should be on HBO given the ratings comparison between the 2 cards.Comment
