This is a ****** move on Golden Boy's part; too much risk, they should be patient and build up Canelo; this would be similar to Trinidad vs Vargas! With that being said, Floyd needs to stop fighting green fighters; I actually think if Guerrero puts on weight properly, that he would possible give Mayweather a harder time than the flat-footed Canelo.

At Least GBP is willing to put Canelo in there with Mayweather if Canelo wins he's on top of the world if he loses there is no shame to losing to the most skilled fighter in the planet. Top Rank is putting Chavez Jr in there with Rubio if he beats Rubio who cares if he loses to Rubio then his stock goes way down but if he loses to lets just say Sergio Martinez then there is no shame in that the difference between Top Rank and Golden Boy GBP is willing to put their fighters in tough fights that the fans want to watch Top rank is not putting fights that the fans want to watch they are not willing to risk their stars to fight each other can I just say Gamboa vs Lopez never happen because of that old fart.

Chavez Jr will make peanuts vs Martinez to what Canelo could make fighting Mayweather.
Martinez doesn't bring the cash like a Mayweather fight does, even Chavez Jr. will likely fight Mayweather for that kind of Money.

I also wonder how Canelo would handle cotto's punching power and how Cotto likewise would handle canelo's power. very interesting fight if that were to happen.Last edited by Toltec77; 01-07-2012, 10:25 PM.

I'll believe it when I see it. I can't believe GBP will let this fight happen. I've been verry critical of Canelos opposition on this board but dammmmmmmmmn dude that don't mean he needs the fight the top dog! Mayweather wins this fight easy!!!!!!!!!

150lbs? What? I thought "Floyd is a real champion and doesn't do bull**** catchweights", like Roger Mayweather would so eloquently put it. I hated this fight, but if it's at 150 I would love to see Floyd and his fanatics squirm to defend it after having been so critical of Pacquiao for a title at 150.
