Judge may have been fooled with Floyd's contractual obligation

Did the lawyers of Floyd showed the judge a contract where Floyd is obligated to do a mega-fight in Las Vegas on May 5?

Lance Pugmire of the LA Times reported that Mayweather’s adviser Leonard Ellerbe issued a statement following Judge Saragosa’s ruling stating "We are pleased that the judge granted postponement of Floyd's surrender date so that he can fulfill his commitment to Las Vegas to deliver his promised mega-fight and the economic benefits it provides to the community."

Asked if that "mega-fight" meant a bout against Pacquiao, Ellerbe said, "We'll make an announcement about who we're going to fight next week. We just came out of the ... court hearing. Give us a chance to catch our breath."

Well, assuming he does have a signed contract, a jail sentence takes precedence and extinguishes any other legal obligations. That's basic justice applied to all.

This is not about what's good for the economy and boxing. It's about the justice system where everyone should be treated equally--rich and poor alike.

Court houses postpone jail time for regular people with important prior engagements all the time, family or business related. This isnt unprecedented and its not like he isnt going to jail to do his 90 days in june......

My being a boxing fan takes a backseat when I feel injustice is being done.

If you were in the same situation as Floyd, no way you get your sentence postponed. Supposedly, money can't buy justice.
