Clearly you're not reading the current news. If it's true, Mayweather already has a big fight that will be announced next week.

Doesn't it make more sense for Mayweather to call out Arum rather then just announce a fight next week? That way it would be clearer who is ducking who.

How can Schaefer, Ellerbe, and Haymon make the fight with Manny, if his promoter and Manny himself say May 5th is all of a sudden a bad date again, even though it seemed fine when Floyd was going to jail???

Manny said he'll fight in June, what the **** is wrong with May 5th??? I don't know any other boxer that first off had a cut so bad he had to sit out 7 months, but than it healed so he potentially could fight in May against Marquez, but than when Floyd got his continuation....the cut somehow became a problem again????? Seriously, when has that EVER happened???

I don't like the Alvarez pick either, but it's better than Peterson, Guerrero, or Marquez for the 4th time. I called Alvarez at 154 a C+ pick, and I stand behind that. But, Guerrero, Peterson, or Marquez are all C or C- picks.

The main beef I have with picking Alvarez at 154 right now is that he hasn't earned the fight with Floyd. If Canelo beat Kirkland, Cotto, or Lara, than I'd say he has earned it.

It appears both camps have pigeonholed themselves into a position.

Floyd now MUST fight on May 5th, because he is going to jail on June 1st. That says that like Pacquiao, he wants to stay active and get a fight in before the first half of the year is up.

Pacquiao's Team has previously said that he can't fight on May, that they won't wait on Floyd if he is in jail either and thus fight someone else according to their preferred timeline.

Why not just cut the **** and fight on May 5th. Not because Floyd said so, but because it's a reasonable amount of time for both camps to promote it, and train. And because the May 5th date represents the last BIG Boxing event (Mayweather Vs Delahoya).

From what I understand, it isn't clear when Manny can fight. Arum said Manny was going to been cleared by a doctor so there is no final word. I'm just saying team Floyd should just wait a few more weeks and call out Arum instead of announcing a fight next week if it is true.

bob arum already said may 5th is impossible. It won't happen on the fifth, so what do you feel Floyd should wait for?

Even if Manny is cleared (which he will be, lets be serious, he won't need 5 months to heal a cut) Bob still wants to build his stadium.
